My teenage students love me, but they always call me old-fashioned. XD I don't know what's going on in the fashion today, I don't know who's the hottest young singer now, and so on, and so on. :D I don't deny that fact, and as long as they answer all of my questions to keep me up to date, I don't mind they calling me old-fashioned. Lol. What's funny here is that my friends still call me up to date. :D They think I know a lot about fashion and entertainment. Ironic, isn't it? Lol. And when I was a teenager, I used to know everything that happened in the world so I thought that my friends "were" so out of date. :D Life is indeed funny. The next funny thing that I can call a "fact" is that the link between these two things that I attached. :D I saw my friend's post the other day and I laughed. Yes, children today would never know the link between a record cassette and a pencil. They don't even need them now! Oh, they still need the pencil of course, but not the record cassette. I can't remember what else, but at least this is enough for now to show that people are getting smarter and more modern. Heheheh...

When my daughter was a little bit younger and she'd be upset with me about something I would say 'I used to have to walk 6 blocks to school' and she'd say, 'momma, don't start telling me about the olden days again'. LOL! That would just blow my mind. OLDEN DAYS INDEED!!!

But it's true Chrystaltears! Lol. My mom also says that she used to reach everywhere on bike, and walked when it was close. I said, come on, bikes are struggle now. If there are motorbikes or public vehicles, then why we use them? Lol. Now I got paid back by my students. Lol. I don't know what my children would say someday. Hahahahah!

That is true, MissPiggy. There's no telling what they will have to say to you, but I can guarantee you that they will find someway to make you feel old. You can't escape it. There's no telling what will be out there for us to drive in the future.

You are so right, Chrystaltears! And the more they grow up, the more difficult to handle them! :( I'm telling you, they're not as sweet as when they were 14 year-old kids. :)

Oh how I wish there aren't any TV now, Lakota! It really ruins the young generation! :( Well, some of the programs are good for children, but not many!

Hi Miss Piggy: I think this happen to all of us. Now that I've grown up a lot, I see new generations and they have different interests. Pop culture evolves so we follow our way and if I compare myself with my parents or even my older brother I can see that I feel more 'updated' than them ALVARO

Oh, I know what you mean. :)) As the youngest in the family, I'm the most up-to-date compared to my parents, brother, and sister-in-law. But I can still listen to my father's music. Even I keep his record cassettes for myself. I like growing up as sometimes my students think I know everything! :D But if it deals with this modern world, I'm so left behind. :D But once again, I'm really glad to have such students so I can still keep up-to-date. :) Fiuh..

It's true MissPiggy, we're getting old haha. So many kids I've talked to don't know who Skippy the Bush Kangaroo is or Captain Planet. I'm only 27 and today's kids and teens really do knwo how to make me feel old. I've seen that post about the cassette and pencil and it's true. I showed a cassette to a 4 year old the other day while he was over at my house and he had no idea what it even was!

Hahaha!! I know, right? :D And the worst question is "How come you don't know him/her?" or "How come you don't know that?". Everytime my students ask me that question they will give me "the smile". It's the kind of smile that really feels underestimating. :D
