Who is more helpful boy friend/ girl friend?

I don't differentiate that a girlfriend is better than boy or a boy friend is better than a girl friend. I have seen the very worst peoples from both sides. But i am not going to say both boy friend and girl friends are useless. I had seen the good and beautiful side of true friendships and always I would say that "True Friendship" always rules. I think we need not differentiate whether girl is best or boy is the best!
