Late payment on Direct TV

This month, I got a the bill statement of late charges for the last 2 months. Maybe I did mail the check out late or something, or last month, I didn't even receive my bill statement to pay for the satellite TV service. That just getting worse, because I have to pay $5.00 late fee, and other penalties. The total up to $90 above. I just wondering why my last month bill statement never arrived, or probably the mail delivery person mistakenly shove that letter to my neighbor's mailbox, or somewhere else. Anyway, I have no ground to argue with those representatives from Direct TV. I just have to pay for what I owe them. Maybe I wasn't too busy I should be able to pay those fees over the phone without delay it.

I know when we had direct tv we had paperless billing and they would send us our bill via email. I would call them and ask them what is going on. If ot is your first time they might be willing to waiver the late fees. I know we paid late once and the compnay had done this for us. I am sorry that you never received your bill, but if you can I would sign up for paperless so you can view your bill online.

m sure u r upset for the penalty. i felt the same whn i was charged the late charge the first time, then i opted for bill payment service through my bank. this way my bank takes care of the bills on monthly basis and i dont have to worry abt the penalties..infact i remmber the late charge was waived off considering my credit history but i had to make few phone calls which was a waste of time ....however i am over that incident long back...u just refreshed my memory...

Your total of late fee's and penalties were over $90? That is quite a bit even for 2 months of being late. I would have asked to speak to a supervisor concerning the matter. When I had Direct TV I had the paperless billing and I always logged into our account online to pay the amount due.

hey there kingparker, I would suggest that you do that, pay directly so that you dont get any hassle in the future, like the saying goes if you want something done do it yourself or hire an exceptionally efficient personal assistant or if you don't have the money for it go back to the first sentence about doing it yourself and so on... That is how the saying goes right???

I have Directv, and just like the rest of my bills I get paperless statements so having issues with the mail is not an issue for me. I would suggest in the future either you switch to paperless, or sign into your account online to see when your payment is due. It is generally due on the same day every month so keep track of when it is due. You could also call them and ask what your balance is and when it is due to avoid hassles.

I don't want to sound harsh but it is your resposibility to pay your bill regardless of you receiving it in the mail or not. I know my bill is due around the 4th of every month with or without a statement. Good luck to you
