Where to go and what to do in Auckland

New Zealand is my third favorite country that I have visited. I didn't like Auckland all that much however I loved seeing Northland and the Coromandel Peninsula. These are a a short distance from Auckland. In Auckland I liked Devonport and found it really picturesque. I would suggest a weekend away to exciting Rotorua with its thermal activity. I spent my first three weeks in gorgeous Northland. I was in the Bay of the Island on Christmas Day and went to the 90 Mile Beach on New Years Eve. Good luck to your friend with her trip to Auckland.

Wow cheerfulnuts, you're a great friend to have agreed to help with her itinerary. I am usually very lazy when it comes to planning my own travels. I prefer to just explore the place and discover whatever comes into my way. But of course, planning is also great, it's just a matter of preference. I hope your friend will enjoy her stay there.
