Amazon is a store, so they make money mostly by selling items. There's no real way to say how they do, but you can see the many features they add and know that they are also making money off of it as well.

Thank you for sharing, yes it is true that Amazon making most of the money from selling item from there store. But there has many websites where amazon make money like alexa, imbd. amazon cloud computing etc. A9 etc and all of those are amazon sites. So there are so many ways where amazon make money.

I dont know how amazon is paying the money to us. I think if we will sale their item then they paid the commission.

Amazon makes money form everything sold on it's site. They also have their own E-book reader (Kindle) so all content sold on it brings them even more income. Amazon's owner though has many investments outside of Amazon in various places. Did you know Diapers.com was bought by Amazon a few months ago to make it the largest diaper seller in the world?
