missing files

have you ever experience being the one who is pressured of a missing file because you were the one who's in-charge of it before? It just annoys me that people in the office is pointing fingers at me because i am the only one left (because all the others are no longer connected with the company) who previously handled the said files. I knew i have made a proper turn over and my only fault is I did not let the one signed any docs that will prove our turn over. after she left, all her files were back to me but there was no turn over and "KABOOM" our boss is looking for it now. I will be the one who will be facing the consequences of the said loss of files.... what a mess!!!!!!!!!!

That's really unfair! They should realize that the one before also have fault in this. Your only mistake is that you didn't make that person sign anything that would prove your innocence.
It has happened to me before. I didn't know what to do but I was fortunate to have a kind co-worker who was at the same department. She helped me with it. We didn't find the missing file but we resolved that issue.

Hi Robelle, i ever been in your kind of situation where one of the month end files gone missing. It really makes me feels panic and tension at that very moment. It is because i need to produce report every month end to give to my manager. After searching for a few days then only i discovered that my important file is left in the HR manager's room. So, i informed my Account manager and managed to resolved this issue without much problem. Until now, i still don't understand as why my HR manager had taken one of my important files and kept it together with her other files.

Sometime we are cannot run from blamed. It is out of mind, and i just feel sad for you. This kind problem take a time to solve. Not everyone beside us can be trust often, this is a kind of a enemy inside our office. Try seek for the file or explain the situation.

try to search it again you might just overlook at it. or you seek help from your department or try to call the one who handled that before maybe she forget to return it to you or maybe she made a mistake and insert it to a wrong files.
