for me...yes, when i am a little depressed, not when there is a big disaster...music, especially the old ones with less music in the background does soothe my senses and make me really calm down and rest...do you feel relieved listening to music?

For a perfect soundtrack, I have many. Those songs, I must say, are such a big reliever every time I have problem or crisis in life. I would listen to them the moment after I feel so depressed and stressed.

Music is part of every person's life.It is part of our daily life.I won't end a day without listening into it.There are too many genres of music that will suits our mood, express what we feel and relieve us fro everything that we have been going through. I'm more on to pop rock music that makes me alive and re-energized when quite tired and stress.

Yes friend you are so true about this. Old melodies with the singing at prominence and soft music in the background are very soothing to my heart. I have a great passion for music and right now I am listening to old songs. Well, in the tough times these songs are no less than any treatment. I too feel relieved listening to music.

I would still be engaged listening to a music right after a disaster. A kind of music that encourage people to help the victims. We have all kinds of music here and each kind is all applicable to any kind of situations that may come. Country songs are my kind of music

Hi Sharay, I think music is the perfect background noise for almost any kind of mood or task. When I'm cleaning and working, I like to put on rock or metal...anything that makes you feel like moving. When I need to think or focus on a project, I tend to listen to softer music that doesn't. Sometimes, I just put on nature sounds. I listen to so many different types of music and It all helps. I pretty much have music on 24/7 and even when I sleep. So in answer to your question, I guess I'd have to say that YES I do feel relieved in listening to music.

I find music such as rock, punk and metal the bets to listen to. It gives you something to mosh or headbang to, and gives you energy! I listen to it whenever I can, it certainly wakes me up! Anything by My Chemical Romance or Black Veil Brides tends to cheer me up, considering they're my favourite bands. As for really cheering you up or giving you a confidence boost, songs such as On The Brightside by NeverShoutNever work!

My brothers loves to hear rock and metal, he often listens to them with high volume and i would be shouting at him to reduce the volume at least for i a not a lover of heavy music, but he says that he gets complete energy boost from those type of songs, like you do...
