I am concerned about my privacy/security now because I am handling so many private transactions that handles important files and documents online. I just want to know if is there any way to get a secured line with MyLot because when I tried, I can't get through or it says that the page is not available.

No private transactions being made on myLot - and you can't do anything related with files and documents online here, anyway... So why do you need it? Currently myLot have no SSL, and I believe they will not add it. And I prefer it that way too - as the connection via SSL would take a longer loading..

It is true that a secure connection would take a few seconds off of the time when loading the mylot site...depending on your bandwidth. Actually, I'm just curious and wish to organize some links I have so I'm asking.

That's the point - my bandwidth is not special here ~ unless if I access internet from my college

No, MyLot don't have an SSL server. It doesn't really need one and nor do you because MyLot has no connection whatever with (and cannot see) the 'important files and documents' which you are dealing with in private transactions.

I see. Thanks for explaining the details owlwings or I wouldn't have understood the error that comes when I place either an http or https before the world wide web in the mylot url.

Why would you need a secure connection to myLot? You're just posting text in open discussions, not sending them money or anything.

I'm just in the middle of separating websites in my bookmarks and labeled them under secured and unsecured connection. I want my bookmarks to look neat and not like it does right now when it seemed like baby brother threw a grenade on top of it.

All our discussions are public, there is no money involved and no needs of https. If you want absolutely a secure connection for myLot, you can use a VPN.

I think it is won't support with https:// , some website don't support. Nothing to worry you make a secure transaction.
