I listened and could not believe my ears!

Frankly, I have had a couple of small cars - one got literally run over by a 18-wheeler; the other was destroyed by a big old SUV. The first time I came close to losing my legs and my life; the second time, if the SUV had not been coming out of a school yard, I would probably have been a goner. I think I'll stick to cars that can stand up a wee bit better to the bigger boys. Hugs, Maggie

The president was a millionaire before becoming president. After he's out of office, he,like so many others will charge a small fortune to go speak anywhere, and he'll probably write a few more books, and he will get his current salary for the rest of his life, plus other perks that go with the job. He would NEVER go cruising in a tiny little car like the Volt. He just wants everyone else to do it. It's sort of like former Vice President Gore, who decided everyone should know his version of global warming, and he made a fortune out of telling everyone else to cut back, cut back. He owns several homes. Just one of those homes uses more electricity in a month than most homes use in a year. He drives huge cars, and, in short, enjoys the high life he keeps getting us to give up. I see. It's interesting to know about it. Do American citizens need to know about the wealth of president candidates? I mean how the wealth was obtained. Is his wealth from illegal business or something? I heard that one of the requirement to become president in the USA was that candidates should be the richest. It's nice to hear about all these.

well im not a big ellen fan anyhow, so i guess thats why i dont like her commercials, i just think there rather dumb.. and pointless.. but she does have some makeup commiericals that are not bad.. she actualy looks pretty in makeup i just said that about michelle driving the volt, because she always tryes to portray herself slef as being a simple lady, you know not wanting the housekeepers, attending her own garden and eating from it, and stuff like that i knoe it may seem funny but i really could see her driving one.. unless she is just a big put on.. and deep down is not the woman she wants everyone to think she is.. which is quite possible..; take care

Yes, it is over 40K and few of us have that kind of money, although the president wants to give us about $7K to help out. Even with that offer no one seems to want this car. It has had too many problems, like catching on fire. Shoot, if I want a car that will catch on fire, I can get one for a lot less than forty thousand dollars! lol The president can well afford one since he came into office as a millionaire and is probably doing much better now. You can bet when he's out of office, he will charge a boatload of money if anyone wants him to give speeches and I expect more books with his name attached. Hugs, Maggie

Hiya MM, Why do they catch on fire so easily then is it because of it being mostly electric? Or does it have some other kind of mechanical fault? Nor me I would not want that kind of Car either although it is so very nice to look at. Well yes I can get one for much much less than that as well anything with four wheels will do for me thank you very much. Did not know that Obama was a Millionaire before he went into Office I thought he was just ordinary with an ordinary Wage. You see being outside of America things are shown differently to us here so we don´t get to see the whole picture unless we know someone from America. Obama will be signing Books and all that and I guess he will make a lot of money out of doing things like that yes just like the Presidents we have here they mostly do things like that too. I won´t name them but they make and keep themselves in the limelight doing just that Books and all that kind of Social life and giving Speeches boy do they ever stop giving Speeches lol?.xxx
