I know more of us here upon creating a discussion we wish that to have many responses from our people here. Although I'm satisfied with the number of participants in my discussion but I'm still wondering where are the others? Mylot population for now is 239,707 to be exact, let say 1/4 of the community is active did you ever ask where is them? We saw lots and lots of newbie every day but it seem the number of responses we have are not increasing. I know there are many interest that we have here, but at least for just a simple discussion that everybody is interested like under mylot , or just a simple question that even a grade 1 pupil can answer why they are not participating. I'm just wondering did everybody us here saw each other discussion? Hmmm what do you think?

hi lynboobsy11 I think that the number is number signed up but that does not mean at all that they all are participating.some'sign up and play around for two or three days do not make any quality posts, get bored and leave. Bored seems to be the key word to so many newbies. If they cannot make a ton of mony in two days they cry scam or they dash ahead not reading any of the information, make 50 so so discussions, are paid 20 cents and quit. S o the huge number is sort of misleading.

Okay let say were been misleading.... but what about the 100 or at least 300 of us who are active, do we saw a discussion here that has 200 responses?

I think that those 100 to 300 active users wouldn't participate if the discussion is not of their interest.

I've been wondering too, I know the population does not really show the true number of active members but their are times when I sort of think " why the same old faces?"Let's observe this discussion and see who pops up

I've been here for five or so years and I've noticed the number of particpants in any given discussion has decreased. The quality of discussions has also decreased as well. Many of the people I used to see here quite regularly no longer attent to discussions, but luckily I do see some of the regulars. I suppose it will go through another spurt of many responders soon, but until then the best way to get the community active again is to go through and respond to as many discussions that interest you and don't forget to use the "no response" tab as that will help those who are new to learn more of the community and the site.

Hi lynboobsy. I have noticed also that there aren't a whole lot of participating in the discussions, but like some said before me many only work the tasks. And some come in visit a while, don't get real involved and leave. Some of them don't stay long enough to understand that you need to participate a while before you will see a whole lot going on with your discussions. I hope it will maybe pick up again. I have noticed several people who were very active 2 or 3 months ago who are not active now at all. I guess they will come back eventually.

Yes lynboobsy. I have taken a good look at the tasks and there are quite a few that can be worked, but I just am not into it right now. I prefer sticking to the discussions part of it right now, but that is because there is another site where I work tasks when I'm in the mood, and the payout is $30, and since it takes me a while to get it, I go there everyonce in a while and build on that.

I myself have asked sometimes where the others are, but I think they are participating on other discussions. There are a lot of discussions here, I suppose. And also I think there are a lot of member who are absent. It is not easy to put a discussion that get a lot of responses. You have to write about a topic which could be interesting and answered by the major number of member. It's not easy but possible. I've seen discussions which have achieved more that 80 responses.

Yes and I hope to see more responses on the very interesting topics like under "Mylot". I think it is more interesting topic here because this is our community.

i have recently startd using mylot. i always look for good discussions, howvere the problem i am facing is that i dont find topics which interest me, others may b i m missing on many discussions. though there is tab on the front page to view the current top discussions , i guess i and m sure others would not have assess to all the discussions all the time. i sometimes come across some discussions which interests me howvere just because i was off line have missed it completely and came across the same discussion may be after 10 days....few i might have missed.

Maybe they deem the grade 1 questions boring? I don't think I can sit through another favorite flavors/colors discussion again. I don't answer most of the discussions I see as well. Some of them I don't understand. Others I can't relate. And others still I'd rather not discuss about.

Many of the users in that nnumber are here only for the tasks. Just go the the 'available' tasks and you will see several who never participate in the discussions. There are also some who only complete the tasks too. As others have said, many join and think it is a get-rich-quick site. They want something for nothing, while they sleep. MyLot doesn't work like that, as those of us who get paid every month are well aware of.

I glance at the tasks most days. I have completed a few and I have created two since the tasks started too. There was a time when Sharonbucks would post writing tasks on behalf of mylot and they paid very well. There were may Lotters who enjoyed completing them and earnt very well doing so. I never did any of them as I am not a writer. If a task is simple and pays well I will do it otherwise I prefer to spend my time on the discussions.

I sometimes wonder where they all are too. That is a lot of members in comparison. I have a lot of friends on my list that I don't think have ever been active here. I might have to go through and see if they are still members even. The people that participate in my discussions are usually the people I have been interacting with here forever. I have a few new people sometimes but it is mostly people that are on my friends list that respond.

They will be back. They are perhaps too busy or have problems with internet connections. Like me, I have been here for 4 years but started being active January this year.

If I can remember right, when I have joined here, there has 238,000 plus members in here. First of all, there can always be an increase in numbers of members but then newbies can also be tired of being in here when their referrer don't let them fully understand what is there to be understood in here. If you are a newbie and you really want to earn in here, you make it a point to strive and do your own effort whether your referrer guides you or not. They say, there's no one who can help you but yourself... There can also be people in here who are busy in starting new topics and not having the time to respoind on other topics. They tend to mind those of their own discussions and spend less time on others. There are also ones who loves more of responding but then we don't have the capacity to control them on what topics they want to respond and participate into. Maybe there are also topics which seem more interesting than the others so they want to participate more of it than the others. Sometimes there are also topics which are never ending even if it takes years or so, it is always active cause there are people who do feel like participating in it more because of so much to say or even if it is out of topic they tend to be in it just to chat... Have you seen any of those topics?

I get quite a good number of discussions from my friends. I am able to allot a lesser time. So I post a few responses wherever I am fully interested in. i will not say the quality of discussions has come down --possibly number of responses is less. We do have people who are regular in posting their responses here.

I agree with others, that population does not necessarily mean that these people are active here. Some just sign up and leave. I have friends who signed with zero activity, while some post less than a hundred and never come back again. Some comes here trying to promote their sites while some come for the task, they create tasks some do tasks. There are myLotters too including me who wouldn't reply on discussions unless the discussion interest them.

I also like to see lots of responses in my discussion. I also cannot find lots of responses to the discussions. I hope that people gt more active day by day and reply to the various discussions. I think if all people were active there would be lots of responses to discussions and there would be at least 100 replies to a discussion.
