Rush says something stupid again, and the silence on the right is deafing!!!!

Those of us that pay attention to politics know that the king of the right, and leader of the republican party Rush Limbaugh made another stupid comment this week, that reminded the world why the republican party is in the shape they are in. I know that is shocks everyone that the man that belittles everyone women by calling them "babe", made even shocking comments about a law student who was supporting birth control. While those on the right that had the balls to say anything at all about it, called it a "misstatement" those of us that know of Rush's history know this isn't a misstatement, it is what he does everyday. I would really like to know why women continue to listen to this guy who has absolutely NO respect for women, and belittles them every chance he gets? Also, why we allow his political apologist to get away with downplaying his sexist remarks.

Rush Limbaugh is so full of himself. I find him boring and embarrassing. Maybe no one on the right is saying anything deliberately. Sometimes it is better to ignore the rantings of someone like Rush. I agree that he does nothing to help the conservative cause or The Republicans. Maybe they realize it too. Other right wingers who i can not stand include Ann Coulter and Sarah Palin. Going back to Rush. Keep in mind that he is a shock jock and it seems that one of the things shock jocks do best is shock. On the opposite end of Rush would be Howard Stern who also has a history of saying really stupid things.

The worse part of the response that has been out there by the right wingers is the terms they use to describe what he said. Calling someone a s**t is not a misstatement, or absurd it is ignorant, and unacceptable. I agree that Rush is only in it for the money, and shock value, the problem is that he will be considered a major part of the republican party, and a featured speaker at the RNC convention. When was the last time Howard Stern was a featured speaker ANYWHERE?

I do not know how to describe Rush. I think he has some mental problems and or problems with anger. He seems to be a very angry human being. I do not watch him and I only hear of him when he really goes over the top and makes the news. You are right. He is considered a significant person in The Republican Party. So is Ann Coulter who reminds me of Rush. Ann makes a lot of talk shows and I am forced to change channels or turn the TV off when she comes on. I am a moderate Independent. I mostly vote Democratic but have no problem voting for a Republican if I felt that person was the best one for the job. The Republicans really hurt themselves with some of their leaders.

I'm on the 'right'. And Rush Limbaugh makes me want to cut his tongue out sometimes. I mean seriously, he isn't helping the conservative movement at all. He's helping the sexist movement which is not something I stand for. I wonder if he'll ever realize he is embarrassing himself.

I really think both sides put too much emphasis on media personalities. I have no doubt that political pundits on both sides have made outrages statements. To attach Limbaugh's comments to the Republican party is as despicable as the comments. The right is silent because the opinion belongs to Limbaugh and not to the right.

I guess you could call it despicable, but how many Republican national conventions has Rush spoke at? How many C-PAC speaches has he given? The right is silent because they can't win an election going after comments made by Rush, and they know it. Remember when Micheal Steele went after Rush, and had to go on every show he could find to apologize for is comments?

After listening to Sandra Fluke's speech before Congress and hearing what contraceptives cost per year, what is a polite way to challenge her twice a day habit at our expense? Rush Limbaugh's comment may be blunt, but it opens your eyes to exactly what President Obama's contraception bill is about.

Best, She NEVER spoke before congress because the republicans wouldn't let her. If you read her entire speech you would see that she cited the other aspects of birth control that help women besides preventing pregnancy. Rush's comments are another prime example of his complete lack of respect for women, it is that simple!!! It doesn't matter what his point is at this point in time, is IGNORANCE in this case out shines any point he was trying to make. The sad part is the people that continue to defend his sexist ignorant views, and don't call on him to change his thinking. I can tell you that if I treated everyone women I came into contact like Rush, I would be a very lonely, often divorced, pathetic shell of human. Wait, that is exactly what Rush is!!!!!!!

The republicans wouldn't let her speak before congress because the subject was religious rights and not contraceptives. She is not an expert on religious rights, but evidently, she is an expert on contraceptives since she's active at least twice a day according to the amount she spends on them. I listened to MS Fluke's speech. Since college students can get contraceptives for free at Planned Parenthood, I don't see the reason the democrats invited her to speak. Considering how much time MS Fluke spends on her back and wanting the tax payers to fund her social activities, I don't blame Rush for having no respect for this woman. If protection is so important to Mr Fluke, maybe she should learn how to say NO.

Having more than one wife doesn't mean he was cheating while he was married. Why don't you ask Obama about the Patriot Act. He doesn't seem to be getting rid of it.

I don't know why any self respecting woman would listen to Rush, outside of researching she is fighting against, given that he is the republican leader. Those who listen to Rush, and vote republican - have some sort of strange Stepford Wife/Stockholm Syndrome.

Since when is it considered extreme to stand up for the Constitution, small, less intrusive government, and America?

It's not, but as soon as you tell someone else they are wrong for being gay, can't practice their own religion to they way you do yours, when you add your "God" to the pledge, when you create "victimless" crimes... You are doing the exact opposite. It's so easy to say you stand for small government, until someone does something of which you simply don't approve.

Did Bill Maher call Sarah Palin bad names, and no one cared? Did he also make rude, crude comments about Tim Tebow and no one on the left cried foul? Did anyone cry STUPID when Ed Shultz called Laura Ingram a filthy name? I could go on and on and on... Here's the mentality of the left, "I can do it cause.... http://www.breitbart.tv/maher-to-limbaugh-i-can-call-palin-ct-i-dont-have-sponsors-im-on-hbo/

I guess I just missed those threads where you criticized Bill Maher, Alan Grayson, Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews, and all those jerks on the left that degrade women Debater.

Like I told Bob, I didn't hear Bill's comments because I don't have HBO, and very few people watch him, same with Ed Shultz. The problem with Rush is that he is so big that when he says something ignorant than people listen. What got Rush in trouble this time is that he attack a young women that many Americans could relate to, and in some cases could see their own daughter in her shoes. When you attack politicians they are used to it, and are fair game. When you attack innocent people the people will start to question why they associate with them. His lose of sponsors the last three days speaks for itself, and the CEO of Carbinite said it best.

The American people are being TOLD she is someone to look up to. In reality, she is a woman who has been involved in women's rights her entire adult life. She's not some innocent in all this, she is as political, or MORE so than any talk show host. She admitted on MSM that she only went to Georgetown to FORCE them to change their policy. You bought the staged event hook line and sinker, didn't you? You and the rest of the democrats who are spoon fed what to believe and think. I almost admire you for your moral stand. It upsets me that you've been hoodwinked by the people you trust to tell you the truth. As for Maher, the size of the audience matters not, but I do suspect he's watched by many. Maybe you should take note of the size of Rush's audience anyway, doesn't that tell you many many people LIKE him enough to listen? Maybe even agree with him?
