What Would you Do if your Life Could be Played Back and Edited?

Many wish they hadn't done this, they hadn't done that. A friend of mine came to me and said if only he hadn't met that lady, he wouldn't be bla bla bla... Often times, we regret having done something and wish we hadn't done or had done it. In fact, life never goes back in this phase of life. What we can do is to change our course of lives from now on. What do you think my dear mylotters?

I thought about this before. If I could go back in time to, like say the age of 5, I would start doing more bad things as a child, and I would have done more useful things as a teenager. Maybe skydiving.

What I was thinking when I was a child was that there was no use studying because there were already clever people. At that time I was a kind of a lazy kid who never wanted to learn. If I remember that time, I always wanted to go back and changed what I thought.

A lot of what if's in this lifetime. I would probably taken psychology or law if I could edit my life but then I dont have an assurance that i will be successful in that field. So instead dwelling on what i should have done. I have decided to focused on the now and make the most of what I have today. But its good to look back.:D

You are right, dazzledlady. We'd be better off focusing on what is available now and start making necessary changes for the future, right?

Hi There Yanzalong, I would not change anything at all up even if I could. People say those things without really thinking I believe. Seriously, to change even one thing would more than likely snowball into changing a lot of other things that wouldn't want to change including who you are as a person. Some of the things that we'd most want to change are the very things that we learned the most from I think. I'm not saying that I haven't made some poor choices at times in my life because I sure have. The person who I was when I made those choices really needed to learn those lessons. As for meeting people who have given us bad memories, well, they make me appreciate the wonderful people in my life all the more and quite often Ive met some wonderful people as a result of knowing the headache people so ...no, can't wipe them out either. So I would definitly pass on that option if I had it and I would not regret it either.

I agree with you sid556. The past can not be wiped out but the past is a reflection to start making changes for the future. Many successful men had failure in the past. We can go back to the past to see and evaluate in order that changes made will not end up with the same mistakes.

If this is so, I'll rewind it, then kill the people I wanted to kill. Then rewind it again, then kill them again. I'll repeat this over a hundred times, or when I'm satisfied, whichever comes last. There are just so many people that I wanna get back on, but can't since killing someone is illegal.

Do you wish you had not done this or that? Or maybe there was a role you would erase in the past, like movie editing you see. Lol.

It's impossible to turn back time and what's the use of regretting what has already been done. Mistakes have been made. I believe you just have to learn from it and move on. I've wished that i could turn back time to correct a few things but i know i couldn't. So i'm living my life at the moment, enjoying each and every single event and just learn from whatever mistakes i've done and look forward to a brighter tomorrow.

I think/believe that at the moment we make a decision that moment is right for that. We regret if things don't work out the way we hoped/think it would be. Later we say we should have done this or that but we forget all the life experiences we got after after decisions/because of our decisions did change us. It's useless to regret what we once thought would be the best for us. Only if you were seriously ill or something seriously was going on in your life you might say you wish you would have been able to... but even then there was not really a choice and we had to do what was the best for us at that moment. Also there are many things people say they would have done if... a lot of these things they still can do.. if they have the courage for that now. You might say it's not the same since you are older now, will experience it differently as you would if you have done it years ago but remember.. at that time you did not really feel the need to do so..

We know past is unchangable as clock never rewinds. Our mind still can go back to the past to evaluate what was wrong. Evaluation of the past is used as a basis to make future changes. We human beings always wish we could change what had happened. Thank for being with me. Happy mylotting.

Oh I wish, I would tell someone that I loved so very much how I really felt, unfortunately for me he passed away before I felt I was in a position to be able to really tell him...oh if only we could turn the clock back.

I had a defining moment when I was 16. If I could have that moment again I would take the chance that I missed just to see what the results and outcome would be on my life now.
