Halo Halo and Isnowbol.....yummy

Hi friends.. It is really summer now,the weather is really hot,even though there is blowing wind once in awhile as of the moment,it is still hot.I'm done eating lunch now, chicken adobo cooked by my mother with a glass of iced cold coke to compliment the food and ease the hotness at the same time. I'm back now in surfing the net while watching or listening the TV when I crave for halo halo or even just isnowbol to ease the hotness.I called my brother for him to buy some halo halo and isnobol for us and for my niece and nephew. Here I am now, enjoy eating halo halo with lots om ingredients like mongo,beans,macapuno,leche plan and sago with lots of milk..Yummy and so refreshing. I think I will buy banana con yelo later for snacks hehe.Want some folks.... Enjoy your weekends everyone...

No halo-halo for the family today because it is kind of chilly in our place. Last weekend, we had some halo-halo and fried 'turon' but not for today. It doesn't feel like summer in our place. Our Sunday morning was greeted by heavy rainfall and strong winds. We did enjoy lunch which was "inihaw na bangus" and "tahong." For our foreign friends who might be wondering a the strange words, please let me explain. Halo-halo is a concoction of different kinds of ingredients with crushed ice and milk. Turon is sliced banana with sugar, wrapped and fried. Inihaw na bangus means milkfish that is broiled over charcoal. Tahong is a seashell which is prevalent in the country which is cooked with ginger, garlic, onion and butter.

Oh I like eating Turon during merienda and Inihaw na bangus is a nice viand for meal together with tomatoes.

i missed halo halo. Summer is near indeed and you can find this type of food nowadays anywhere here in the philippines. However, we can still eat halo halo anytime we want by going to restaurants that offers it. :)

Yeah it is really summer now.Indeed, we can halo halo anytime we want in some restaurant but the one that we can buy within the neighborhood during summer is really cheaper that the one we buy in the restaurant.It is more cheaper so we can buy more than one,maybe two to four times than the one in the restaurant that is more expensive yet same taste.
