Do you listen to music while you're at the shower?

I have a teenage nephew who always bring with him his cellphone inside the bathroom just to listen to his favorite songs while he's taking a shower. He puts his cellphone somewhere where it can't get wet and then start the songs playing before he starts his shower. He almost always do this and I can even hear him singing with the songs while the water runs. I have done this once but I did not do it again. It's just I keep worrying about myself getting wet and I seem to ignore the music while I take a bath. I instead, prefer listening to music while I'm doing the laundry or getting ready for work. How about you guys?

I myself am a very music oriented person, but I am also very forgetful. So when I remember I try to bring my cellphone into the bathroom with me, I'll put on a radio station and have it play loud enough to hear it over the water pouring. I do sometimes get frustrated when the channel I'm listening to gets stuck, but sometimes I also just play my songs playlist on my phone so this doesn't happen in this case however I like the radio more due to the new songs and so forth I don't own in my playlist. I then tend to put it under a bit of towel because we have a lot of steam in my bathroom and I don't want humidity getting into the phone. And well I then shower away. If I know the song I'll even try to sing along. Problem is I tend to get in the shower and once wet remember that I would have liked to have some music, rather than run out dripping and get it I will just sing songs I know or a lot of the time just make some songs up as I go. If I'm in a hurry though I don't tend to do the music things as my mind is in such a "do the job quick" mode that music seems to be forgotten and I just want to get in and out. But yes, I love music so anything I do, if I can remember to pop some music on I will, problem is remembering...

Like you, I've tried it once. Though I have a big enough bathroom, I'm worried that I will get the phone wet. But my sister does it all the time and seems like she can't do anything without the music. The cell phone goes with her to the bathroom, to bed, in the car,...just about everywhere.

Due to our metal roof, I usually listen to music in my car or on tv. Our shower is pretty loud, not sure I'd hear it or I'd have to turn it up loud enough to annoy the neighbors.

I have my phone with me when i'm showering too, but i'm not listening to music.. haha :D I'm just on standby in case anybody sms or call me, i will be able to reply or answer them back.. haha I dun like the feeling of letting people wait for my replies or seeing missed calls in my phone. That's why some of my friends always thought i'm free, have nothing to do.. lol I dun really listen to music from my phone unless i'm really bored. I'm more concerned about my battery life.. haha

I sometimes do listen when taking a shower or bath. But most of the time, when I want to really work seriously on a household task like cleaning the house and doing the laundry, I will put on some music. It makes me inspired and do the work faster.

No, I don't think I hear the music. WHen I cook or work outside in my garden, then I listen to my Ipod. I feel good, feel enegetic to finish my job.

That's one of the few times when I don't listen to music. I done want the steam and water to ruin my phone, and I would not be able to hear the music over the sound of the shower.

I saw the movie Psycho when I was at an impressionable age. It is the story of a woman who is murdered in the shower. The guy was able to sneak up on her because she was not paying attention. Since then, I do not do anything that might distract me while showering...at least if I am showering alone, that is.

I can't say that it's something that I usually do. I don't usually listen to music while I'm in the shower. It is something that my sister used to do, and may still do. But it's not something that I ever really did.

My son once installed a speaker inside the bathroom where he can listen to music while taking a bath (duh) I had it taken off, because sometimes he forgot to disable the connection and when he open the component inside his room- the music can be heard also inside the bathroom and made me jump for surprise

As a youngster,i used to listen to music in the bathroom. My stereo was in the bedroom and i would put it on and listen while bathing. But like you i would invariably be distracted and not listen properly. It is preferable to listen while relaxing or reading. While in the bedroom and doing some chores is ideal for listening to music.

NO, I don't do that, although you can now purchase waterproof radios designed specifically for using in the shower, I don't think they are very expensive. It's not just wetness that can affect cell phones, steam can do it as well, so it is advisable not to use one near the shower. Steam from a shower can invalidate any warranty on the phone.

I used to love to listen to music in the shower when I was younger. My children were the same way too although they don't do it anymore. They have these neat shower radios that I thought about getting but I never did. Maybe he would like one.

Sometimes I will listen to music while showering - but I usually shower before my dad gets up and I try not to disturb him. Plus it's really hard to hear the music once the shower is going, unless its very very loud. I do listen to music on my phone while doing just about everything else, though. Right now I am for example, while doing laundry and MyLotting! Happy MyLotting!

I have only listened to music while taking a bath. That was just to relax in the bath tub. But never when i was in the shower, because when i am in the shower i want to get into the shower and get out so that i can get to bed or i have to hurry up and get ready for work. I think that it is very relaxing to lisen while in the bath tub but you cant have any distractions while doing so. I am unable to do that now because of my children dont think that i should have time alone to relax any more. They think that if mommy is in the bath they should be in there with me.
