Breaking news coming through that AVB has been finally sacked as Chelsea Manager. Roberto Di Matteo will take over as the acting manager at Chelsea till a more permanent manager is identified. The loss against West Brom turns out to be the last straw in AVB's Chelsea career. What are your views on this? Cheers! Ram

I think the AVB was concocted by the older players! Chelsea is an authentic graveyard of coaches. AVB has won everything there was to win last season at the helm of FCPorto, he was assistant to Jose Mourinho at Chelsea. And now Chelsea "old" player´s sacked him! He is a bright young coach. What happened is that the old "legends" of Chelsea like Lampard,Cole,Terry did not want to be led by this great coach. I bet that AVB will now train in Italy and it will be a success! Chelsea has a chronic problem the player´s dont love the club, they just love the money!

Yes, the old boys association at Chelsea seems to be a very strong one. This is the third straight manager they have got sacked. This is really not a great thing for a club that hopes to be one of the top clubs in the world. Cheers1 Ram

I think any owner who is influenced by players so much is the actual problem. He has sacked Mourinho, Ancellotti and Scolari, who are three of the top managers world wide. What more can we say!! Cheers! Ram

Yes, and I do not think AVB was taking Chelsea anywhere. There was no real change in Chelsea's approach and the fact that he fell over with the players also hurt his chances even more. All in all this was expected for quite some time now. Cheers! Ram

Exactly. The fact that he has fired Mourinho, Scolari and Ancellotti, who are three of the top managers world wide, shows how fickle an owner he is. And with this fickle nature it is going to be really hard for him to have sustained success. Cheers! Ram

I think that AVB didn't manage to "catch the locker room", as we say in football. I think that he hasn't managed to make the important players be on his side and that is why he failed in making a great team at Chelsea. But I still consider him as one of the best trainers in the business and I am sure that we will hear from him soon and he will be able to build fantastic teams during his career.

Yes, he did lose the locker room, so to speak. But he is the third manager in succession to have lost the support of the locker room, the first being Scolari, then Ancelloti and now AVB. That tells a lot about the player power right now dominating the Chelsea football club and that is not good at all. Cheers! Ram

Sorry for AVB. Hope he could get another job as soon as possible. He's still in his age and he should have achieved more. I think one of the main problems during his time in Chelsea is he couldn't manage and control the senior players. Too much rumour in media said that, whether it's true or not. But it affects on how he picked the players for the starting line-up.

I think he will definitely get another job. The key would be what is the scarring effect on his confidence from this experience. Will he be able to take up the job at any top club any real time soon? Cheers! Ram

@erric : dont worry AVB is unemployment, but he always get salary every month..and AVB did not worry for the fuel price increasing..his salary every month is enough for buying the fuel storage in one year.

Chelsea will never be a great club worldwide. They Never give the manager a chance to implement their type of game. AVB's was a very good manager but he had no hand in the players.

The funny thing is that they are still hoping to rope in the likes of Guardiola for the job. It would be interesting to see who takes this up from here on. Cheers! Ram

Chelsea is an impatient team. they never give there coaches opportunity to establish ground in the team. AVB is young, given more time he will do wonders.

Yes, it was long time coming. He was under increasing pressure over the last few matches. But the loss against West Brom was the last straw in this saga. Cheers! Ram

Abramovic is a ruthless owner and when he kept quiet regarding AVB, the sacking is a matter of when. In my opinion, AVB's downfall is the making of those "Mourinho first teamer". Terry, Lampard and Drogba are looking at all ways to undermine the manager. It is understandable if they are on form. However, they are not and took issue with the manager when they were dropped. Unless Chelsea get rid of those trouble-makers, it does not matter who comes in next. He will suffer the same fate as AVB.

Yes, the player power at Chelsea is too strong. I think but they are going to cause the club more harm. I think it is time for some of these players to get the sack!! I am pretty sure that Drogba will move on next season. It would be interesting to see what Lampard and Terry do!! Cheers! Ram

the other day, when asked about the next game whether he would still be Chelsea boss,Boas said"sure". But most people know that this is not true, especially in the lost and West Brom united after the game. Andreas Villas Boas is a good manager, but to Chelsea such big team is concerned,he is too young.Chelsea needed a manager such as guus hiddink or joes mourinho.

I think he still was not experienced enough for the Chelsea job. I think Boas was already clear that his days were numbered as he already told a Portuguese news channel that he might get the sack. Cheers! Ram
