postherpetic neuralgia

Has anyone had the shingles than got postherpetic neuralgia ? I would like to fine out as much as i can on it. I had it now going on 6 weeks and i am still in pain.I am so sick of it. If anyone out there can tell me what worked for them please answer this discussion. thanks a lot and how long does it take to get rid of it.

I used to work with someone that after having Shingles was always in extreme pain, and instead of a Doctor ever really being able to help her, or she insisting on more happening to help her she just took her Oxycodone, etc. every day. Personally if it would have been me I would have insisted on more answers. If I were you, and can go to different doctors getting more answers might be a suggestion as well. I hope things have gotten better.
