Having spent the weekend in Liverpool and with it being my second visit to Liverpool I have to say that so many of the people I came across are so nice! A random guy on the street at 6.30 am while I was trying to find the audition venue for the X Factor came up to me and asked me if I was ok as I looked lost - he gave me directions. There were so many incidents around the city where I came across people and they were simply lovely. So friendly and helpful. Where have you visited lately that you found folks to be willing to go out of their way to assist you, talk to you or just give you the time?

Hi TheIrishClog, That's nice to read. It's nice to see that people are still willing to put their necks out in this day and age given that so many people are so self-absorbed! I love the Liverpool accent!!! Lucky you! The last time I was anywhere looking for directions was in Athlone; not that far away I might add and even though I had been given directions from the train station to my destination I still managed to get lost. I stopped by and asked a few people, some of whom were not Irish and they were so helpful. I still wasn't sure where I was going and a guy escorted me to the place where I had to go - he wasn't even going in that direction. Shame I didn't get his number! (Joke!!!) IrishGal77 :)

Secretly you're only half joking lol These days it's nice to find someone that will go out of their way to help you. They're few and far between. I think for me it was a little overwhelming to find so many of 'em in the same place. Pure scouse love lol

I go to Indiana with my b/f at least once a year. I like the people there and they have always been good to me. When I went to Las Vegas, I had a good time too. The people there would hear me say something and then they would strike up conversation to hear me talk..lol..my accent. I think that Japan was probably the most hospitable place that I have ever been though. So kind and respectful. It was a business trip and some of it might have been their job to be so kind but there were things they did for us that was way beyond duty. I am glad you met kind people there. I am also anxious to hear about your audition!!!

Audition lol... It was a farce! I ended up choking from nerves lol. Pure cotton mouth... I can get up in front of a crowd, mike in hand and belt it out with the best of them, it keeps bread on the table here at times. Put me in a competition (only ever done it once before in a local comp and though I progressed well, I was ridiculously nervous) and I lose my nerve altogether! Nice to hear that you've been to some places where the niceness of people spread a little warmth too

The last place I visited was the Caribbean the staff were friendly at the resort and always willing to give directions to where we were trying to get to. I would love to see Liverpool, sounds like you had a great trip.
