I've read this article about leap year traditions. It is a traditional time that women can propose marriage. It gives me an idea to prepare something special for my fiance. Even though he already proposed to me, and we're now considered as engaged. (and expecting a baby as well) I created a letter for him, with contents asking him if he would marry me? LOL My fiance laugh out loud, and answered YES, of course. haha Well, I think in our culture today, it is okay for a woman to propose marriage to a man. What is your opinion about it? :D

That's so cute :D Have you watched the movie Leap Year? This reminded me of it in a way, lol. Well, some women are stubborn or too scared to proposed to the guy; and I think there's nothing wrong with a girl proposing to a boy.

Majority of the traditions in my country is based on religion or influenced by it. And I think some of them can actually be tweaked or changed a bit as long as it doesn't really go against religious doctrines. (Well, some would argue that it doesn't matter since traditions are man-made and could actually be changed by anyone). With regards to marriage proposals, I don't think it's going against any religious doctrine. It's just a societal dictate and as such, I guess women could indeed do the proposing. I mean, why not?

Haha! Well, it will really not affect religious doctrine. Besides, only the two of us know what happened. And engagement doesn't involved any papers. Haha I just want to do something sweet for my fiance. Hehe. Thanks for the reply Beamer!
