Advantages of Smart Phone over Multimedia Phone?

There are lots of rumors going on about Smart Phone. I do also planned for getting one smart phone soon. But I am very curious about what's its advantages over multimedia phone? Why don't by simple multimedia phone which gives you internet access?
I know few things that smart phones have operating system, android is lovable and apps are fun to use.. but I am not sure.... I want to ask that,
Do I need pre understanding of android? Is it really worth that? Will I fall in love with my new smart phone? Why should I buy it and not multimedia phone?

Smart Phone having Good Reasons to Buy compare with the Multimedia Phone. Because it has lots of Facility it's like Mini Pc. We can handle like Pc if we use it wisely. If we purchase we need to Use the all facility of it then only it's worth to Give the Phone.
And also it's not need any such kind Special Knowledge needed to operate the Android or other Smartphones.
