We have National day. We usually can see splendid fireworks on that day everywhere. There will be a superb cerebrating ceremony in capital and every person can watch the grand view on TV. We have five days vocation when it comes National day so people usually travel around during these days. It is called golden week. We also have some special national celebrations such as decades ceremony of reform and opening-up. I enjoy the vocation during the national celebrations.
How about you? What kinds of national cerebration do you have in your country? :)

It's great that you have five days of national celebration. It is like a short vacation. We celebrate Independence Day and we have three days vacation. When these days are close to weekend, then vacation will be longer.

My country's history is weird, but to make the story short there was a great exodus of people to united states some decades ago, so our national celebration is done mostly in the United States instead of in here. While in here we make it a holiday nothing flashy is done, but in the US one there a great parade on June with artists, ethnic foods, music and politicians in cars traveling along an avenue. Most of the people who celebrate the national day travel there (it's done on a Sunday) for it. It's called "Puerto Rican day parade" :).
