The new ipad 3

So Apple just announced its new ipad which features a retina-display, better back camera, dual core A5 with quad-core gpu, higher ram, and lastly it's 4G. However, they didn't actually gave it a new name like what most of us have expected (e.g ipad 3 or ipad HD), they just simply called it the new ipad. What are your thoughts about this newly launched product? Would you buy one?

I think the new features are nice.. Even though I really haven't got any of the iPads! And about your question, no, I'm surely not gonna purchase one.. Its too expensive here in Philippines and I couldn't afford!

Thanks for the response. Yeah I know that it's overpriced in the Philippines because of the few resellers and huge demand.

I have heard bad reviews over it and it was supposed to be waterproof and they found it it was not! And other bad things about it.

Thanks for the response. I am not sure about that because I don't think they announced that it was going to be waterproof but based on what you have said, I did a little googling and found out that there some waterproofing accessories that can be used on the ipad 2.

Good day Ghajini, There is nothing I can say to the newly launched New IPAD 3. As this new gizmo is superb. However, as much as I want to have a unit like that, my budget is not sufficient enough to have one. Perhaps, I will just continue having a gadget like that on my dreams. Since dreaming to have one New IPAD 3 is just free.

I've seen this supposedly new iPad on the web and news like these automatically pop up on my news feed because I know that a lot of people are really excited to have it once it's out. Personally, I have no intentions of buying an iPad. Not yer anyway. It's just that I am already too busy with work and other stuff and getting myself preoccupied with all the tricks and features of a new gadget would just distract me more. Just saying. But I don't have anything against people who are so willing to buy this new iPad.

To me it's just a new processor, better camera and better display. No interesting innovation in this 1. There's no Siri included, only dictation.

Thanks for the response. I guess you have a point because there is no new innovation at the moment. Probably, they are going to put siri on the inevitable new ipad next year lol.

It is another gimmick from Apple and unfortunately so many people who have been hypnotized by Apple would go out and buy then new Ipad. I thought they would have at least included siri in this new ipad but they haven't done that.

I bought a new laptop last summer. It's too soon for any new electronics.

Thanks for the response. I also bought a few electronics recently so getting this would not be ideal, budget wise.

If you have an ipad, then I don't think there's any reason to be going out and getting another ipad, until yours breaks... and everyone that's interested in ipads, has probably already gone out and gotten one, so they don't really need another. However, if you do want to get an ipad, or you broke yours, now you only have one option, and the cost of it, is going to be higher then the old ones.

Hey ghajini I myself don't think I will be buying one as I believe that apple is going to keep making new Ipads every single year and not coming up with something original. Ill admit there pretty good but I think for what they are there far too expensive! let them come down in price vastly and then I may consider investing in one.

Thanks for the response. You have a point that Apple will obviously keep on making new ipads yearly which is a sign of how fast technology evolves. However, it means that consumers who are concerned with their budget should be aware of this so that they would not complain that Apple keeps on releasing new models of their products. I guess as long as you are satisfied with the product, having a new model coming out of the market the following year won't be a problem, the important thing is user's satisfaction.
