Rain, Wind, and Flood

Since January this year it's rained almost everyday. The rain has caused some low-lying areas to be flooded. The drains on either side of the road being clogged with some rubbish may contribute to the flood. Strong wind that came with the rain blew big trees down as well causing heavy traffic jams as the the tree trunks fell on the streets. The wind also resulted in some houses being blown away and a couple of vehicles getting twisted out. I've asked myself if God has shown His anger as we human beings have caused a lot of destruction to this world--forests have no more trees and people are no longer able to maintain discipline on rubbish treatment. They just throw rubbish into the drains making the drain clogged and rain water flown back to drown roads creating a river.

thats right if the government can make the clearly punishment for the people or the company for making the illegal logging, maybe it can reduce the number of flood in every place in our country but it is dream now i think

Forestry Agency is actually responsible for the loss of forest trees because they have employees on guard every time. How can illegal entry to the forest be possible? I doubt and suspect that illegal logging is done by parties related to internal manpower.

Actually rain is okay as long as it doesn't come with strong wind. Rain does not cause flood actually if all drainage system work well.

Hi Yanza, indeed recently it is always raining in my area as well. Even some of the low areas are flooded and a lot of people are losing their homes and properties. I am happy that the local authority in my area are very careful and taking good care of the drainage system in my area here. I am also really scare of flood, too. And hopefully, the local authorities of respective areas will start to taking care of the drainage system, to prevent their areas from flooded by rain water.

How were those living near the river? Were they safe?. Water from the river may have risen above its highest level and flown into the streets.

Those who are living near the river have to move away but they had loss all their electrical properties. They only able to save their own lives but not their electrical products. It is a very sad experience especially for those who don't earn much.

That's awful. These people should take care of your drainage system. When I'm out walking, I make sure I find a trash bin if I ever need to throw something. I don't just throw it wherever. I mind where it will go and what it will do to the community. Pollution is continuously destroying our planet and we are the ones who'll suffer if we continue to be irresponsible.

Pollution is a very serious problem. There should be a solution to minimize it. I'd rather the government reduced the number of motor vehicles and encouraged road users to use bycicles.

Yes, that happened to singapore about few months ago as well as recently too. HEavy rainfalls caused some flash floods in many areas, especially our popular Orchard road stretch. It's all part of mother nature when it comes to natural stuffs like this. Rainfall, wind, flood are what we can't control and preventive measures are not going to help at all, if the weather decides to have heavy downpour for 1 whole week without stopping. Even if drains are cleared, with such rainfall, even sea level would rise and it's back to square one.

God knows what to give to human beings. Remember how the prophet Nuh escaped the flood? The rainfall was sent down to punish those who were against Him. I have never heard of rain falling for a week. If that happened thatwould be just like what happened in Nuh's period. Don't you think so?

Hi, in my opinion I think God won't be anger for no reason and so does mother nature. Human are greedy and always come up with ideas to destroy natural resources and also throw everything as they like into the river, and that what the cause of flood.

There must be reason behind any disaster. Many believe that eathquake happens because there is change in the earth layer. Earthquake comes like heart attack---it comes to us so suddenly. Japan that has the highest technology can not detect the earthquake that destroyed one of its cities. This means that God wanted this to happen and behind this incident there must be something.

I think it is our doings that causes the heavy rains, the flooding, the strong winds. Because we humans abuses our mother nature. Most of us does not care of our environment. Now seems like the damage is very obvious, and yet we are the one we suffered of our own doings. What we can do is stop the things we do that make the situation worst. We can help, each one of us should do our own share.
