Article Marketing or Guest Blogging?

Please let me know which you find more useful in getting more traffic. Article Marketing or guest blogging? I am listing below what I find interesting with them.
It seems article marketing gets you good backlinks, while social exposure is more with Guest blogging.
Article marketing suffers from your article simply copied to many sites that may lead to plagiarism. But Guest Blogging appears on a single site.
What are the distinctions you find with Article Marketing and Guest Blogging?
