My son CJ is joining the Bull Runner Dream Marathon on March 18 at Nuvali, Sta Rosa Laguna. Game starts at 2:00AM. It is my son's second year now in joining fun runs and marathons. He enjoys a lot, meeting new friends from the marathon field and considering it as to maintain physical fitness. He also writes the marathon events in his page at the Word Press, Run Adobo King. That made him so busy as he is a working student, a blogger and a runner. Sometimes he just sleep for few hours as he has so many commitments to attend to. Works at the office, school classes, projects, seminars and company marathon launching and meetings plus blogging of incoming Marathons events. Though we hear him no complains but as a mom am really wondering how my son could handle all of these. He had joined countless fun runs of 5ks, 10ks, 16ks, 32k and now the dream marathon of 42k. They would be running for 5 to 6 hours to finish the race. I just hope and pray that my son can make it, finishing the race safely. If I can only persuade my son not to join the said event as am really worried of the distance and duration of the run but he assured us that he can make it and we see in him that he enjoys running so instead of worrying we will just pray and support him. Go, go go, CJ, run, run, run. How about you friends what sports are you or your children in to?

Hellong Bing28, The last time that I had join a fun run was way back high school and it was only around the Intramuros, i thought i was strong enough but i easily got tired after a few lapse.I was able to finish it but I was so tired that i never wanted to do it again. unfortunately, I tried it again last year and i ended up getting my legs hurt because it's the first time that i felt so heavy

At least Letran you had experienced running. They have preparation before running, they run around as sort of practice so they would end up without having body pains. During the first time my daughter run, she was not able to get up the following day due to aching legs but on her second try she no longer experience pains. Now they both run but my daughter is good for 3 and 5k only. The real runner is my son. Thanks Letran for the response. Happy myLotting...

Wow, I'm impressed. I don't think I can run 42 miles in one or two days, much less five or six hours, lol. I'm planning to do swimming next year, but if I don't make it, I'll automatically go into cross country since you don't need to try out. Swimming try outs seem to be really hard since many people have swam since they were three and swam competitively throughout their whole life. I hope your son does well and finishes the marathon safely :) Good luck to him!

Thanks elementah, Oh swimming is a very good sport. I wish you good luck in your swimming career. Right I told him if you can no longer run then just walk to finish it (lol). Finishing it safely is much good enough. Thank you for the response. Have a good day...

WEll dear our children do enjoy some hobbies we don't really want them in because they are already overindulging to the point of hurting their health. Your son's passion is actually good because it is for physical fitness. Nevertheless if he finds no more time for enough sleep because he is loaded then I think the solution is just giving up some and right time management.
My son loves music. He plays guitar a lot and joined a band. Sometimes I really do worry because he comes home late when he practices with the group and also when they perform. But what can I do but to just pray for his safety. He is a good son anyway and I know he has been straight so I just have to let him enjoy his love for music.
