Iphone 5 release date

I stumbled to several blogs and websites talking about Iphone 5. There's a rumor that it will be on the market this month. The others say it'll be in October. While others say it will be on March 2013.
It's crazy! I don't know which one to believe in!

I don't like apple because you get locked to their products and services.

I just can't believe we are already to the fifth generation of the Iphone. I've not gotten even one of them. I am wondering though if I could find one of the original iphones for cheaper that way then. I don't know, not that I'd really want one but still wooweee.
