This season for Arsenal has been all about Van Persie. But, I think the turnaround for the team has been engineered by the emergence of a youngster for Arsenal. The youngster is Oxlade-Chamberlain. I think he has helped Arsenal turnaround in two ways. One is his running down the left flank has increased Arsenal's chances of scoring. Secondly, his emergence seems to have given a second leash of life to Theo Walcott who suddenly finds his place challenged by a younger, faster player.
What are your views on Oxlade-Chamberlain's emergence this season? Is this another feather on Arsene's young talent hunt?
Cheers!

I like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. I think that he is THE find of Arsenal's season. I like the way he plays his football and the dribbling skill he has. And his speed! He should be an England regular soon if he could just be consistent in his performance. Arsene Wenger is always good in blooming young talents. But to be successful as a team, Wenger has to mix youth energy with veteran experience to balance up a team in all situations. Oxlade-Chamberlain will provide the energy for a few seasons more. But will RVP be still around to provide the experience next season?

Oxlade-Chamberlain reminds me of Theo Walcott when he burst onto the Arsenal scene. He was fast and had good dribbling skills. What makes Oxlade a better prospect is his finishing talent. From what I seen so far his finishing skills are way ahead of Theo!! What's your take on this?
Cheers!

@ram : why i think its unfair when we measure the midfielder like Walcott and Ox to score much?? they are not forward like RVP...so if they can score, its bonus (in my mind)...except Gerard and Lampard, the midfielder which had goals more than their forward..

As Oxlade-Chamberlain has just scored 2 goals so far and played just 8 games, I feel it is still too early to make an comment on that. But it is true that Theo Walcott has not scored as many goals as he is expected to - his stat shows 65 shoots 5 goals - just a meager 7.7% conversion rate while Oxlade-Chamberlain has 2 goals from 10 shoots - a very high 20%, comparing with RVP's 20.8%, he is just 0.8% lower! You are correct on Oxlade-Chamberlain's finishing statistically. But when he begins to play more games and the role he needs to play in the team - he may have to provide more assists than to shoot himself - will tell more about his ability to score.

chamberlain is one of the rising star this season
but he was helped because arsenal lost 2 the star, jack wilshere and aaron ramsey..
but it was good for wenger, when 2 injured star will be recovery as soon as possible..
wenger had many options for his team

Aaron Ramsey has been available for most of the season. He has grown in stature, but has not really put in the dominating performances that you would like to see in a top club. Jack Wilshere is the long term loss for Arsenal and that has been a big miss for this season.
Cheers!

@ram : so maybe you must be patient until the next season, when aaron ramsey and jack wilshere is getting recovery..and you can give the best measurement about aaron ramsey and jack wilshere contribution for arsenal...btw, iam not arsenal fans, but i believe if aaron can be the next stars too for arsenal

Ox is indeed one refreshing change to a depressing season. I do agree that he could be the find of the season, but there is a player that I wish we could have seen him in action for Gunners. The player, Miyachi. Since he made a loan move to Bolton, he has been a relevation. If he has been in Arsenal and given the chance to play, the jap and Ox could be head to head for the "title".

Ryo Miyachi was finding it really difficult to break into the Arsenal side with Walcott and Oxlade Chamberlain taking the slots in the wings. But you are right since he moved to Bolton, he looks their most attacking player currently. I hope he develops this year and returns back to Arsenal next year.
Cheers!

I think it's just like Arsenal.
They have the ability to keep finding young talented players. An Chambo is definitely one of them.
But the other 'ability' of Arsenal is, they keep find difficulties to keep their young players until they get into their golden age and bring benefit to the club. Usually when those have reach a 'ripe' age, they started to exodus to bigger clubs or find another one.
Let's just hope Ox won't do that and could bring glory to Arsenal

The special ability of Arsenal is to provide a chance for young player. They jusfind out the talent and ability of them to play from Arsenal. Most of player in Arsenal is young player where they sharpen their ability to grow up well. I strongly believe the player list of youngest player in Arsenal continue from they found, Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain and son on.
The future young player depends on Arsenal. They have good tactic also in buy a young player, improve their talent and grow up. After a few year they sold in high price as a business tactic. This is what happen to most player like Cesc Fabregas, Adebayor. Hleb, Flamini. Toure, Clichy and some other especially Thieery Henry the legend of Arsenal.
The Arsenal's manager Arsene Wenger is a good talented manager and goo coach and longest time manager in Arsenal. However they still top 5 richest club in the world even they not achieve to win the trophy.
Arsenal, The gunner.

I think Arsene Wenger is great at spotting young talent. He is also good at nurturing them to great heights. In fact in the last five years Arsenal has been a selling club more than anything as Arsenal have been selling the players they have groomed over the years.
Cheers!
