Did you ever take your pet to the grooming center?

When you noticed my avatar he is "Odie" my very lovable and hugable dog. He has very long white shiny hair, that can hide her eyes. It is summer now and I can see, that he feel very hot because he keeps on looking for some cold portion of the house like under the stair, and under the sofa. I have plans of taking him to the grooming center to have his hair cut so he can feel a little cooler this summer. To give him a nice hair cut, nail clip, and tooth brush. But I also give him tooth brush every time he gets bath. It's your turn friends share some stories about your pets.

My daughter is a groomer, so unless they need a deep bath, she usually will come to my house to trim their nails. Grooming for certain breeds, like your, is important, not only does it look better, but it is easier to brush their fur to keep it from matting up real bad. My daughter has seen nightmares where a poor dog comes in with matted fur and she has to cut it out. Either one must brush the fur, or keep it cut or it can cause problems for the dog. So good for you for caring for your dog, to keep him looking and feeling better..:)

Yes it's hard to loosen up those knotted hair that's why I have a special brush for him. And that's good that your daughter knows how to groom them. I love the way they looked when they are well groomed.

No, we do not have such in our place. We just give our pets ordinary bath, no nail clipping, etc. If someone starts a grooming center in our place I am sure it will go out of business very fast because people here don't care much about pet grooming.

You don't clip your dog's nails? I didn't realize how very important this was when I had my dog as a child and how one day she came in the house with her foot bleeding. Her nails were so long, they got hooked on something and it broke. Just like people need to trim their nails, dogs also need their's trimmed as well. Plus there are certain breeds that not only look better, but feel better when their coat is cut and some even have to have their coat cut, or it would mat up real bad, causing uncomfortable pull on the dog's fur.

I haven't ever taken my pets to a grooming center. My b/f watched this video on youtube and learned how to groom this Miniature Schnauzer that we had..lol. She's not with us anymore but he did a really good job on her when he groomed her. Saved us a ton of money too because their hair grows pretty fast. I would like to take mine somewhere when it's time to trim their nails though...they put up quite a fuss about that.

I have two different pets. One is a wonderful dog that likes to play with me and my kids. It is bathed to clean it up and to have a good look or good odor as it plays us. Another is our cute cat. We don't need to bath our good cat because it bathes itself. It is looking great and clean always. As of today, I am satisfied with their grooming that I don't have plans of bringing it to any animal grooming center. It's good to have pets who are not a nuisance.
