Hey there Mylotters, I've been playing the classic GTA: San Andreas for a couple of months, all over again, to relive the nostalgia of it all. But there is a mission that is particularly cumbersome. If you guys do remember, it's called Free Fall. CJ has to take a plane from the airport, and rendezvous with a JET coming to Las Venturas. You have to take your plane through a corona. ONly then will you enter the other plane. Then you've to take out the people in it. The part that's hard is getting the plane into the corona. Would you guys have any tips on how to complete this mission successfully? I've tried using cheats like slowitdown, and other tricks already. Thanks !

That is a tough mission, it took me several tries to get through it. Have you tried flying above the corona first? It's easier to control the plane when you are descending down into the corona, rather than trying to fly upward into it. You don't have to worry about manipulating the throttle control as much as you simply raise the nose of the plane to slow down.

Hope it works out for you. In order to do this, you have to gain altitude fast, so be sure to stay in a climb from the time you leave the runway. The other trick is to be sure to keep the other plane in view as you are doing this. The game scenario is set up that the most likely course is to chase the plane from below, but you can chase a plane from above, just don't lose sight of it.

Hmm... that makes sense, thanks!! This mission's much easier on the PlayStation, for some reason. On the PC, once you miss the plane, trying to turn back and catch up with the jet is just not worth it, because the speeds of the two planes are just not comparable. But I will use your tricks and see what happens. Thank you once more, for re-addressing the issue and making it clearer with your second comment!!
