I think I lost a friend in MyLot

I'm not sure he got banned or cancel his account but I can't contact him
It start when I miss one of friends here. He didn't make any post for months. Decide to contact him. Before I contact him I try to find him in my friends list but it already gone.
What ...?
First I though he cancel his friendship with me ..... but why ..? I never do any harm to him.
This make me more curious so I decide to find him through discussions that I reply in the past. I found one discussion which he also involved with it and I click his name (to find his profile) but ...... his profile is already gone. When I click his photo or his username, it always back to Mylot front page.
Oh man .....
What going on ...??

You have been speaking with him wth his new account.
He was not banned. He cancelled and started again (and it's not the first time either) and I'm surprised that you did not realise that he is still here as january

I guess maybe your hunch is correct. MyLot doesn't delete members who are inactive. So it's probably that your friend had indeed violated one of the terms and conditions of this site which resulted in the deletion of his account. Unless your friend actually decided to cancel his account here although I'm not sure how you go about doing that.

maybe he deleted his account himself. Or perhaps he violated some mylot rules so he was barred to use mylot.
Anyhow I am amazed to know that there are also good friendships that develop here on mylot. Just like yours and your friend. Because ever since, except to those who are already my friends before mylot, I haven't encountered or found what I can call a true friend. Every one is just virtual friend.They are all virtual friends. not like in my other social network sites wherein we already come to a point of seeing each other personally even if we live far from each other.

He definitely closed his old account and create new one.
I didn't realized it because he change his writing style.
I didn't know that you also know this guy or not but when he involve in discussion or create one, discussion itself become hilarious.
Just information, his old account is Purple People Eater (PPE) and his new account is January5th1960.

you have explored all the possibilities. His membership has been changed, perhaps. Some people take a new membership so that they can respond nicely and get higher rating quickly. your friend may be one such person, perhaps.

Hi Olleenz, after reading the Mysd's response I come to understand that his account is not banned but he cancelled it and started a new one. Seems that he wants to be as fresh and energetic as the beginning of the year. And no longer to be an eater Thanks a lot Olleenz and I have acquired more info after reading the posts available here

I didn't realize it sooner because he change his style when he responses on other discussion (not his own) ...... look like normal member rather than sarcastic.

Olleen, i think by now you had found your friend. I had read and gone through the comment given by the first responder. I am sure you will be able to search and send request, asking him to accept you again. Happy to hear this is a happy ending discussion...
I wasn't recognize January as him at first, because it seems he had changed his writing style for a while.

I am glad to read that the problem has been solved and all is well now with you and that friend. I had been reading someone who prefer to change account name every after six months and I don't know if he's the one you are referring to. However, there are two friends I guess who've gone away with different reason. One was able to post her last discussion bidding farewell to all her friends. The other one was unable to say goodbye because his account was I guess banned. I don't know but I hope that all will be well. Goodbye jai and url. (sad)

The truth is I don't know he like to change his account regularly or not but when I join with Mylot, he just 3 months older than me and he delete his previous account just a month ago (if I'm not mistaken, based on his last discussion).
He did warned me that he gonna closed his account because he didn't like something (about his rating in particular discussion, I think). I though he just joking because he still responses and create several discussions and suddenly about a month ago he just gone .....
Anyway, he already back now but he change his writing style (a little bit)
