Cruise line entertainment varies from ship to ship. Larger ships tend to have one or more "big" production shows in the caliber of the West End, Broadway, Las Vegas, Branson, and other entertainment-based places in the world you can think of and numerous bands and smaller acts. Smaller ones tend to have a small band, pianist, string quintet, and/or a small cabaret show. This raises the question, does entertainment matter in your cruising experiences? For me, it partially does and it partially doesn't. Entertainment is pretty much fifth behind how comfy cabins are, customer service, food, and price. But it pretty much plays a role in how I enjoy my cruise. Based on my experiences, Disney Cruise Line is the best so far in entertainment. Not only do they have wonderful Broadway-esque shows with all the singers and dancers. They also offer movies as well - I happened to watch WALL-E on the Disney Wonder when it was still playing in cinemas! And what's a Disney cruise without Disney Characters walking around? I even saw Captain Hook and Mr. Smee in the fitness center on that ship, despite the fact that only people 16 and up can access it! So, does entertainment really matter when taking a cruise?
