I was wondering where artists and craft people sell there items. I know of Esty and Zazzle and Fine Art America and Red Bubble are there anywhere else I post or sell my items... I do not want to Ebay there fees are way to high. How has the market been to you with economy being so poor... or do you beleive it is too saturated to even try... Any tips when talking a picture of a oil painting, or water color or drawing done in pastel or sketch... should I use a satin finish to protect the art work on the watercolor or sketch and pastel etc... Thanks for the help... these are just opinions and there are no right or wrong answers. Sincerely Unique16

How about Deviantart? You could go there and sell photographs and paintings as prints. Or you could offer to do commissions which allows to gain full profit for yourself without Deviantart taking a cut out of each sales.. Well it depends on your customers whether they want a satin finish or not. But if it's for your own personal work and you're not selling it, you might as well use a satin finish just to protect it..

Yes, I looked at Deviant Art and posted there. There are so many people selling there photogrpahs and it is really hard to stand out and have people look at you items and actually buy them. I even post them on facebook. I get no comments or even likes on the items or pictures I show. It is so very frustrating. Thanks Unique16

I think if you want to get really seen and on a quality page with not lots of junk art and listings you should check out the http://www.buyart.ws site and jump into the art auctions then contact them to list free and use that site.

How long have you been at buyart.ws? Have you sold anything there? How long has this website been in the business? Thanks Unique16

Personally the only sites I know of are Ebay, Etsy, Zazzle and Yard_SellR. There might be others, but not really sure. The only artsy thing I have been trying to sell lately is my Crocheting. Need to look into Zazzle more for art type work.

i guess lighting is biggest for me when i take pictures of anything. you have to make sure you have good lighting. i think etsy is pretty cheap, way cheaper than ebay plus, you get more people that are actually looking for handmade aricles on that site.

Uhmm..you could sell works in deviantart, people could buy prints from you and you could also just submit works to add in your profile/gallery. You could also find man tutorials there that are really helpful and there are many art genres there that you could browse to.
