The women protesting Limbaugh SUPPORT sexism from Bill Maher

Conservatives have been accusing liberal women like Nanci Pelosi of being silent on Bill Maher's sexism while objecting to Rush Limbaugh. That's just not right. In fact, Nanci Pelosi and Debbie Wasserman-Schulz have been GUESTS on Bill Maher's show, SUPPORTING his sexism and bigotry. They didn't go on his show to criticize or argue with him. They're 100% thrilled with what he does. Even better Jane Fonda, Robin Morgan and Gloria Steinem wrote an article recently calling on the federal government to BAN Rush Limbaugh from being on the airwaves. They literally want the federal government to BAN FREE SPEECH from Rush Limbaugh just because they disagree with him politically. Oh, right, some of you may think that they object to his sexism... and yet Jane Fonda and Gloria Steinem both 100% support Bill Maher's sexism. Much like the hypocritical congresswomen, they too have appeared on his show, fully supporting his agenda. No objections, no complaints. They were just glad to go on his show and support his garbage. http://www.cnn.com/2012/03/10/opinion/fonda-morgan-steinem-limbaugh/

Honestly, I don't like sexism at all. I don't like Bill Maher, and I don't like Rush Limbaugh or any man who says negative and terrible things about women. On the other hand, I don't like it when women make men out to be the monsters, when not all of them are. Sexism can go both ways, but I will admit that Limbaugh and Maher are both in the wrong for what they did.

But apparently while Rush can admit he was over the top, Bill Maher and the other liberal talk show hosts won't. Bill Maher did say 'enough is enough' and that it needed to stop (the attacks on Rush) but he continues to use the foul prejoritives against conservatives, thereby showing me he was merely trying to take the limelight off himself by 'defending' Rush.

I give Maher credit for actually defending Rush on his Twitter page. At least he can say that sexism is one area where he's not a hypocrite.

I may be missing something, but what has Bill Maher said that was sexist?

I actually should have posted this at the beginning of the thread. It's kind of a greatest hits real of Bill Maher's sexism. It also includes Debbie Wasserman Schulz saying how terrible Limbaugh's language is and appearing on Bill Maher's show. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEntHhXpuEA

I am huge Rush Limbaugh fan and don't mind saying so. I did think him a little over the top on the s1ut thing though. Am I going to stop listening to Rush? Absolutely not because most things he says make very good sense. He is not the irrational ultraconservative the ultraleft would like to make of him although he does believe in conservatism totally. Here's the thing, and though he said it wrong what I believe Rush meant; why on God's green earth should ANYONE expect ME or ANYONE else to pay for their promiscuious activities, period?

Frankly, these morons out there are just acting offended because they want to make a stink over this. They don't care. They're not offended. So he called the girl a s1ut. Was it wrong? Sure. Why should it offend the left though? I can certainly understand Fluke being offended. She was insulted and she didn't deserve it. Why is any other woman offended? If someone called you a name, I'd say it was wrong and you didn't deserve it, but I wouldn't personally be offended because nobody insulted me. I certainly wouldn't pretend it's some sort of major issue that can be used to attack 33% of the voting population.

It proves the issue is of importance to them, otherwise they would go after all who are guilty.

Sorry that should be of no importance to them.

I agree with you. It seems like it is okay for the main stream media to say anything, no matter how crude about conservative women, howevver if one tiny little statement is made about a liberal woman, everything comes unhinged. Whatever happened to the day when men didn't swear around women or tell dirty jokes around women. I guess I am sadly old fashioned however I will continue to live that way and be thankful for the man I am married to, who treats me like a lady.

I support Limbaugh 100%. He had the good points and make sanse. On the other hand Bill Maher has a potty mouth. No one, in the main stream media ever condem him, when he said nasty things about Palin.
