Shortest man in the world, Chandra Bahadur, 72 years of age and weighs 14.5kg. Guinness World Records can today confirm that Chandra Bahadur Dangi from Nepal is the world's new Shortest Living Man, measuring 54.6cm. Chandra is 5.3 cm who is actually shorter than Junrey Balawing of the Philippines, measuring 59.9cm and was hailed world's shortest man on his 18th birthday last June 2011. Chandra is now 72 years of age as he claimed to be and weighs 14.5kg. He live in the remote Nepalese mountain village of Rhimkholi where has spent his entire life, about 250 miles west of Kathmandu. He makes his living weaving traditional Nepalese garments with his five brothers of average height. Chandra's home is so remote that it wasn't until recently that he gained attention; a forest contractor cutting timber in the village met him and informed local media.

How sad that our very own record was ceased by another but shorter man from Nepal whew it didn't even occur to me that there will be someone as short as a foot and now there is this man that stand less than that...wew...is it genetic or that there is a problem in his hormones that is why he is like that? But I like this guy though he stands that short he still make his own money for a living..nice not a liability but an independent man who earns for himself in ways he can despite of his conditions...see even him can earn...alot from my country which are able to work but just dont want to work...very sad...
