Marijuana laws

A few months ago a young man from California was traveling to Texas to attend his grandmothers furneral and was stopped by a police officer and arrested for having marijuana in his possession. The man had a prescription for marijuana due to health issues. He also had a letter explaining his health problems from his doctor. Marijuana is still illegal in Texas so he was not only arrested and held there for 2 weeks, he then bonded out and went back to California where he was extradicted back to Texas and now faces 5 to 99 years. Who here believes that they should let this person alone as he did have a prescription for what he carried. Not only that how is someone who is on marijuana as prescribed by their doctor supposed to even travel anywhere without the fear of being arrested? Its like being under house arrest in the state in which you live because if you leave that state you can be arrested.

Why should it be illegal at all? Lash
