Make Money Or Supplement Income!

United States

How many people do you come across in one day that are begging for money? I see several people on one street either holding a sign or being aggressive. I know the economy is tough. There are places that are hiring and things you can do online to make money. There are ways to supplement your income, as well. If you are alive, you have the ability to make money as long as what you do does not break any laws. A friend of mine got me turned onto and hooked on doing taste tests. Even those who are disabled are able to do things to make money or supplement their income. If anyone says they cannot and do not have the means to make money or make extra money only makes that person lazy! A lot of what can be done on the internet is free to sign up so money is no excuse!

Well you are right but sometimes doing a lot of things still not enough to supplements all our daily needs, especially you don't have the right strategy and techniques. some people resulted to begging because they earn lot of money by doing that, we don't know they earning lots of money than we have. they do things or earn money the easy way they want.

You don't always make good money. There are times when those who do beg do not get money.

Hi desertrose, I'm not going to argue with you about people not wanting to work, etc. Some of them do not. I have had a mother that way. But that is not what I want to get into here. I think the places who have a sign out saying they will hire someone aren't always truely looking for someone to hire right then and there. They take the resumes sometimes and don't even look at them. Other times you will see beggers on the street, yes but for them maybe they don't even own a computer to help them find a job even like this online. They might not have Paypal or want to deal with Paypal. It could be so much to their situation you don't know. I'm lucky not to have to many beggers on the streets here, I guess. I have seen a few, one of them has a sign on the one main road here on occasion, he is young and has a family or daughter to support it says. No one ever gives him anything that I know of.Where can we do taste tests? That sounds interesting to me, is it closeby your home?

Look for places that test products in your area. You can also sign up with ipsos-isay and do surveys and product testing.

I overheard a guy on the bus once who was talking about how he once did that thing where you stand at an intersection and clean people's windows. He made more than minimum wage at it, so it worked well for him, although I got pretty annoyed listening to it because I find those people a bit annoying and I think it's unsafe to be wandering around intersections trying to clean people's windows and get people's money.

I almost never see any but then I don't ever have a reason to go to the parts of the city where they would commonly be seen. The only time I ever saw many was a long time ago(over 20 years ago) when I visited the California Berkeley campus and walked a few blocks along a street near the campus where there were shops and stores. There were beggars(one or more) on every corner. What was odd was that just waking those few blocks, I found all kinds of coins(quarters, dimes, nickels, etc.), probably several dollars worth. So if they were so bad off that they had to beg, why were they ignoring all these coins on the sidewalk?

i am in the search for a job and i cannot wait for the week to start. it is not easy to look for a job. i have a college degree, i came from a prestigious school and exclusive for girls school in high school. i got work experiences but still i find it so hard to get a job because there is always no hiring. it is hard working here online too, because we are so little and it is not worth my whole day spent here, this is like only good as an extra income. i will have to keep searching again this week and hopefully i can find one and start soon.

I agree with you, I only give donation to those people that seems really deserving but not to everyone that I meet on the street. Some people just do not want to work hard like everyone else is doing and sit down and wait for others to give them their hard earned cash.

I don't see very many people begging for money on the streets anymore. The police usually run them away if they are caught. I live in a big city so there are many ways to earn. I can recall a guy going from door to door in our area charging to put addresses on mailboxes with paint that will last no matter what the weather. He charged $5.00 per job so I let him do it and gave him $8.00. He said he was disabled even though he physically looked fine. Am sure this man made quite a bit of money with a stencil and some spray paint. He was trying and I give him credit for that plus he did a great job. There are ways to earn on the internet without any investment because I do it. I'm retired and really looking for something to do so why not earn at the same time.

I think one should try to go for supplement income. There are lots of things a person can do to make additional income. There are lots of hobbies that can be done that can generate income. If a person grows vegetables in their house one can have enough vegetables for their house. Now a days terrace gardening is getting popular. Another thing one can do is teaching or doing tutions to various subjects to various classes. I also think a person should try to invent various ideas to make his time to money and to generate income.

I have seen several signs as well and sadly a lot of them who hold signs are those who have been discharged from the military. Sadly, there are no jobs for them to come home to after being away for so long defending our great nation. From the bottom of my heart I thank those military men and women who are working hard fighting for us and for giving us our freedom and independence. I know that in my situation Randy is not allowed to work because of his serious foot condition and I am not working so I can take care of him full time. My parents house is not handicap accessible and if I do not stay at home to care for him he would not be able to get around. I work online making some extra money and since Randy and I are both in college (an online university) we are getting some financial aid money as well as Randy gets a little VA money. PLease send us information on how to do taste testing. ALso, many people cannot afford the Internet.

Quite true. It is also related to the old adage of "If there's the will, there's a way." Sadly, a lot of people wants easy money. They wanted to earn without putting on the effort. That's what makes them lazy. They don't know that money comes from hardwork. That concept should be taught to them. Or maybe some don't know how to make money other than what they are accustomed to. But it is their responsibility to learn other ways to earn money. But you will also see, especially in our country, that a lot of individuals are making a living by asking for alms on the streets. Maybe they are already contented with what they get in the streets.

exactly, only people who r lazy have n nos of excuses. they can clean streets, work in a restaurant, do nos of jobs to earn their living instead of begging. i wud say begging shud be banned and strict action be taken against people who beg. we have peple who are handicapped howver earning quite handsomely. begging is the simplest form of earning money and so easy to follow for people who dont want to do anything else.

There are many reasons why other people can not find a job despite the fact that there are also many ways to supplement our income. First, lack of knowledge. We are maybe lucky that we were able to gain knowledge through proper education. Other people was not as lucky as we are. Not only because of financial reasons why they were not able to attend school, as some were claiming, but also for the reason that some can not really comprehend. Others may lost their interest in working not because they are lazy but sometimes due to previous experiences that they have encountered that cause them to lose their interest in working. Perhaps if we encounter people in this kind of situation, we should help them in one way or another not by giving them fish but by teaching them how to look for fish.

I agree with you. I do not like seeing people begging for money especially when that beggar has complete limbs and looks healthy. These people are just lazy. Nowadays, there are a lot of schemes on how to earn money. On the other hand, we should not forget that sometimes these people might just have not been given a chance to work.
