No problem! I do love dark chocolate as well so I understand why you can't resist it. In fact whenever I eat chocolate I can't be contented if it is not dark chocolate. Now going back to your "on diet issue", I think there is no problem if you don't eat too much dark chocolate. A bar of dark chocolate a day will not make your body bloat anyway. I believe you can always burn the fats by just keeping yourself active. If you want your diet successful, you need to do at least 30 minutes workout everyday and eat in moderation. You need not deprive yourself of dark chocolate. It is just like killing yourself if you don't eat that.

i agree with shebacs.. ur family should know the difference of dark and other chocolates.. but since u are on diet, just make it a point that u can burn the calories..

Maybe their problem is that since you are on a diet, you don't eat everything they do, or even can't even eat together with them. They might feel strange that they can't share their food with you, but they see that you eat chocolate... what if you offer them a piece of chocolate? Also, you can let them know that dark chocolate has low sugar content and it contains mostly cocoa, which is high in antioxidants, so dark chocolate is something healthy.

You should tell them that dark chocolate is the healthy chocolate. Maybe that's one of the reason why, they have issues with you eating dark chocolate. You should tell them the differences of dark chocolate and the other kinds of chocolate.
