ive been an anime fan since i was a little kid. until now, i do watch anime but i'm not that much inclined as i was years back. But the interest is still there though and whenever i want to relax a bit, i go for a few episodes of my favorites like one piece, skip beat, special a and ouran.. Then i've met a 3rd year medicine student in one of the prestigious school here in the philippines who is actually a cosplayer. someone who dresses up as an anime character. she imitated kyoko in skip beat and i was really awed at how it turned out. i love looking at her photo gallery and at the other photos of her co-cosplayers but somehow it doesn't interest me to be a cosplayer myself. i don't think i can do it hahaha

For a while I was interested in cosplay, but the interest never really went anywhere. I never had to materials to make a good costume, and frankly that can make or break you when it comes to being good at cosplaying. I still love looking at others cosplay, though. It's amazing to see how some of the more complex designs end up in real life, and I can always appreciate the effort that went into the costume.

I love being able to make my own cosplays but you can also buy them. WHen you make your own cosplay you can make sure it fits perfectly. I also enjoy seeing some of the more complex designs and only wish i had the talent to create something beatiful.

I'm not a big fan of buying cosplay outfits - cheaper ones are made out of that really bad shiny material, and the more expensive ones just don't feel worth the price, especially when I look at the quality. There's a nice sense of satisfaction when you can tell someone the cosplay was hand-made by you instead of someone else, you know?

I love to cosplay. I make my own costumes instead of buying then and its so much fun. There is a lot pride that goes with making your own costume. I have cosplayed Miaka from Fushigi Yuugi and Gumi from Vocaloid. But there are a lot of other characters that I would to cosplay. I am working on Seeu from Vocaloid, but I messed up on her shirt so I am going to redo it and fix the problem. It is a lot of fun to be a cosplayer. I was skeptical at first but after my first cosplay I fell in love with it.

I give you credit Soulist. I would love to cosplay but I am a little shy about doing it. I would love to do Yoko from Gurren Lagann but I am too shy with my body and not sure if it would look good on me. Though I would love to do an Alan and Ann cosplay with my boyfriend I think that would be a cute one to do.

I used to be very much into cosplay. I started cosplaying when I was in high school and did up until I was in college. I did it because I thought it was fun. I was a an actor at the time, so dressing up in costumes and pretending to be someone else was something I loved to do. To me, the best part of cosplaying was making my own costumes. It was fulfilling to me to be able to make something wonderful. I stopped cosplaying when my son was born. I figured that now that I had a child, I should not be cosplaying. I still love anime, but I think that my children would look at me strangely if I started doing it again lol

Cosplayer: present! ^_^-) Hahaha... Kurapika in the community they usually called me. Nice meeting you all here. And yes; I'm in favor for cosplay. It is the first and last thing in my mind everyday. I really like it a lot since it allows me to express my feelings about my fandom through this kind of art.

Hello jd107nette :) I love anime too.. I love to read manga and watch the anime movies too.. And I really love to watch the cosplay events.. I love to see their beautiful costumes, I love to see how they express theirselves into the anime character they like.. But I’m not a cosplayer too.. I’m not confident with myself being some anime character with the costumes.. And I will get so nervous to know that all eyes are looking at me.. Just let me be an admirer of cosplay, not as the cosplayer.. :D

I dont remember when i started watching anime but i have watch quite a number of series. i never actually when to a anime event but I've seen picture of cosplayers. You can tell the people who cosplay actually when through quite a bit of work. Catching someone cosplaying an anime character from a series does surprises people because it's like putting up a small public show. Seeing real people dress up as an anime character from a series you have seen before. It could lighten up someone's day even more. I'm not a cosplayer but i admire the people with courage who can!

Although I really like anime. I dislike the idea of people cosplaying. There are exceptions though. If it really suits the person cosplaying and he or she has fully captured the character. It annoys me when people cosplay my favorite anime characters because I find them ruinging my image of the anime. That's just how I feel.

I've wanted to before. There's a local convention around where I live, but I can never get the dates right or get a quality outfit made. Besides, it's difficult to find an outfit that will fit a bigger person like myself and still look right.

I also been a anime fan, I dreamed and fantasied about what it would be like to become one but I also realize that I have to stick with reality. And it's not possible to have awesome powers or have giant boobs student\teachers that are hot. In reality I rather not imitate something that doesn't exist or someone. I rather just be myself, at least I know that I'm real and not in a good plot that'll never work for me.

As an anime fan cosplay really interests me too, and I have a great list of characters I'd like to cosplay as. xD Unfortunately I'm a perfectionist, and if I was to cosplay I'd make the outfit myself, which probably would take a lot of time, effort and money, and it makes me lazy just to think of it. ;w; But I still think about doing it someday!
