First JPop Fest in Philippines

We all know how KPop is famous is Philippines. I do listen to KPop but I'm more on JPop. Last March 11 (just in time for the Tohoku 1st anniversary), the very first JPop event was held in SM Megamall. I can say it's not as huge as the KPop Fest but it's amusing to see fellow JPop fans gather around.
Fans from various JE groups (Arashi, NEWS, KAT-TUN, Kanjani8, Kiss-My-Ft2, Sexy Zone, Hey Say Jump, Yamapi, Jin), BoA, Amuro Namie, SCANDAL, AKB48, Morning Musume and other Japanese Artists are there. They also had fan club introduction, band competition, singing competition and my favorite, the dance competition.
JPop's also starting to be known here in Philippines. Universal Records made the initial step of distributing Kiss-My-Ft2's (new JE debut group) first single "Everybody Go" and it received a positive response from JPop fans. Jin Akanishi is also being promoted by Universal Record. From what I heard they will soon release NEWS singles here.
I just hope this can be an annual (or twice every year) event :D The time/schedule wasn't followed (the dance competition is 3hrs late!) and there are some areas that needs improvement but I totally enjoyed the event :D

Wow! That was a huge event I missed! 
Must have been a blast! Hmmmm... March 11 was a Sunday! But I did not hear about this event! I was too busy at work and school, I was even writing reports on weekends. I wish I had seen this event! It's nice to watch fellow fans of Jpop as they perform on the stage.
You really took the effort to record those performances in video, Kei! 
I'll have fun watching them, I'm sure. ^^

I actually had a difficult time recording them since my friends kept screaming and shaking me that's why the video's not steady. Yeah it's fun and it's a blast to see fellow JPop fans gather for one huge event :D Hope you can come on the next one! Keep checking my blogs for more news ;) And I'll inform you if there's one soon :D

There's an upcoming Arashi Fan Event on May 5th. Just PM/text me if your interested to attend. It's a pool party so I think you'll enjoy (because of the swimming factor) :D

Are you referring to Hana Yori Dango? "Love So Sweet" and "Wish" definitely made an impact on Arashians :D
