I was top on hot list of mylot. Where do I go when someone takes my place?

Lots of discussions are started hourly and in ? time the top list are always updated, and what get a discussion into the top list is due to the activity it is receiving, like ratings, responses and comments it only lasts for a while you don't expect to be there on the list at all times when newer discussions are been updated to the list.

I am sorry but I am new in my lot. What hot list are we talking about in here? is it on the discussion page or the one I see at the button of my interest list. And what does it mean?

The discussions on the 'hot' list stay there only 24 hours from when they were first posted. If you start a discussion and it receives a lot of activty, responses and/or comments and/or back and forth exchanges, it will gradually move up the list. Then when 24 hours have passed from the time that you first submitted it, it will vanish from the list no matter where it is and on which page it is. You can then find it on the other lists. Newer more recent topics will have been posted since you started yours and they will then appear on the hot list, 'Hot' in this case signifies 'busy' or 'active' and if you want your topic to appear there then you must keep it moving forward as soon as it receies responses after you post it, by commenting nack and getting users involved in it. I have been here for sometimes now but I have never bothered to check what type discussions are among the hot list. I usually just go straight to new discussion. Now since that I am aware, I will be checking the list.

When you're hot, you're hot. When you're not, you're not. Just kidding. I hope you make it to the top hot list again. Its always good to know when you're hot or not.

You were on the hot list because of the spirited conversation it caused. Then someone else started on that attracted a lot of replies placing them in the spot you were in, Just keep posting those interesting topics and you will make it up there again.

hichrystaltears I think if I am not mistaken when I was on top of the hot list then moved off the only place I found my discussion was under the tab started. I know I was also on hot and stayed there for two days then was gone so must be they just put you back in your tab started, I think you could find the person's discussion simply by going back to her profile as our discussions are all listed on our profile.Now I am no authority gut I am thinking this would be where you would find it.

There are different lists so I am not sure which one you are referring to. Do you mean the one in the mylot category, the hot discussion list itself, the top rated users, or just what?

competition is the part of life, one day you would be on the top and other day another one would be on the top. so don't get disappointed. just enjoy the competition. give tough competition to others n be again on top.that's the life funda. nice discussion.

I think it will goes away to give others the chance to be on the hot list or on the top list of topics. I am sure where it goes, but I know it will disappear from the list :)
