yeah seen this back then..was one of Johny Depp's early film after 21jump street...TV series. and Winona Ryder..was really preety gorgeous back then..

I love this movie too- I really love Johnny Depp when he portrays out of this world characters- it is definitely what he does best. This mvie is definitely a classic, and the ending was quite fitting and it left an impression n me. I learned a lot from this movie too.

haha, yeah, i agree that Johnny Depp is a great actor and he always portray his characters well. I've watched the movie, Edward scissorhands and i like the storyline. It's something different form what the movie title suggested because he's actually one of the murderers too. MAybe i should say he's an accomplice in helping to hide, dispose those people he killed with his scissors.. haha That was an old movie, but it's certainly good, especially the settings it's being shoot in, during those times

Hello cearn25 :) The first time I watched this movie when I was a kid, I was crying because I thought that Edward feels so lonely for all the rest of his life.. He cannot see and meet the girl anymore after the accident.. :‘( Jhonny Depp’s acting is really amazing and I really love to watch all his movies, and I’m collecting his DVD too.. ^^

I did watch this movie and it was great, I just loved it and I too am a big fan of Johnny Depp, I especially love him as captain Jack Sparrow, he is hilarious and so good looking. Great actor.

oh my friend, I am at your side. We (me and my husband) loved this movie. we have watched it several time doesn't matter that we've known the story line already we still love to watch it. Well we just watched it last weekend because Netflix has it on stream. Most Johnny Depp movies are good and this is one of them.

I watched the film many years ago. It was a nice film. Johnny Depp is always superb in his movie roles. His portrait of Edward Scissorhands is so apt and real. For some reasons I always think of Johnny Depp's Edward Scissorhands with the Charlie in "The Chocolate Factory" also by Johnny Depp are quite similar. It was the funniest scene in the film when Edward was used by the bad guy to pick the lock of the house and then entered. When the alarm sounded they scuffled and you just feel sorry for Edward's confusion. The ending was a bit sad but romantic. There is a feel of Titanic...

Yes, it was a great movie. I too, just watched it a few days ago. Johnny Depp (like Brad Pitt imo), does great with every role he is thrust into. This role (as you said), is no different. He is so great at changing himself that I can hardly tell that Edward Scissorhands really is Depp. This kind of movie always has me reeling at the end, though. I can't stand societies that exploit certain groups or individuals and then turn on them the moment something goes wrong. When the townspeople ignorantly turn on him, I recall Chinese immigrants in the US during the 1800's. They were brought in to help on the railroad, and yet, they were ostracized and kicked out although they were just doing what was being asked. Maybe I am looking too far into the whole situation (or maybe I completely took everything out of context), but I just can't help but hate every character in this movie. Even Edward receives some of my scorn because I can't help but hate how stupidly innocent he is. But, through all of my hate I can't help but recognize the great acting and overall experience that is Edward Scissorhands.

hey there! I got to watch this movie a year ago and it was absolutely wonderful. Actually, I love the Tim Burton- Johnny Depp tandem in movies. I find it very interesting, although it may seem a bit weird, but still I like it. In my opinion, he was able to portray so well the character that nobody would be able to play the role of edward scissorhand better than johnny depp himself. :)
