Good eve.
This past few days and weeks there are lot of price increase all over the news like basic commodities.Recently was some private schools and universities files and will implement tuition fee increase by the next school year, another one was the oil price hike which is almost increasing every week. Now, the latest one is the minimum fare which will increase .50 cents but nothing more in the succeeding km.I know that is quite small amount but I do hope that will not change in the coming days.
I do hope the next one that will increase is our salary hehe.

Yes,prices are all going up because of our dependence upon the oil rich countries for fuel. The Philippines is one country where we can get the most benefits from the renewable sources of fuel which we have an abundance like the sun, wind and water. In the Ilocos region they have the windmills but since Metro Manila and other cities do not have the space for windmills, we can make use of the solar panels for free energy supply in the daytime. This would be a cost savings device that should be encouraged because of the consistent sunlight the whole year round which will lessen our fuel bills. The initial investment would be quite big but the advantages will more than make up for the expense. If the salaries are increased at this time, it would cause a chain reaction resulting into an increase in the products and services so that is why Malacanang is not so keen on a wage hike. Our only recourse is to make adjustments with our spending in order that the budget would be enough. But since the malls are always crowded, I don't think the Filipinos are really worried about the prices.

I have to disagree about Filipinos not worried about the increase in prices. We all are worried maybe an exception to those well off. It is just Filipinos are majority employee and when you are an employee you will rely on the salary. Filipinos find ways and resourceful to make the best of what they have in anyway. Malls are probably crowded because they are just window shopping, cheapest way to have a cool environment ( free air conditioning) and no entrance fee to spend time with your family compare to amusement parks. I do hope employers will give an increase too. I am more worried for the people in phils who can barely put food on their stomach 3x a day.

it is almost inevitable now that commodity prices will rise. the important thing for the people to do is to cut unnecessary expenses and get the basic commodities. well, the government can only do so much. but it boils down to individuals response to the economic difficulties nowadays. the global market is erratic. but we can ease the impact by having enough savings for the rainy days.

Everything will increase except your salary I am sorry to say. Here the gas prices have risen again and the price of groceries have also risen due to the price of transportation costs of food to the grocery stores. Prices have even increased at fast food places and just about everywhere you go something is sky high. The only things that does not raise our our wages. Doesn't seem quite fair does it.
