I'd say deffinately brush your teeth whenever you're tempted to eat junk. Things sure don't tast good with floride in your mouth. That might be a little to excessive though.

Drink a glass of water, and remove yourself from the kitchen. Tell yourself mentally "the kitchen is being mopped" and then come online, that might help. If the kitchen floor is still wet, we wait atleast 30 minutes before we go back through, so that helps with the waiting a little.

Protein is best at night as it will also help you sleep. This includes white cheeses, lean cuts of poultry or beef, and milk.

Lessen what you eat at night since you won't be consuming much energy at this time of the day.Don't lessen your intake of rice/bread as these are the most important part of the food pyramid in order for you to get a balanced diet.

You should not eat past 9 pm, but if your sleeping schedule insists that you must have a snack later at night, then I would go with a salad. Eating fruits, or something mostly of water is best and no sodas. Of course I don't follow this regimen myself. You should try to eat a bigger supper to last you intil the morning.

The best diet for me at night is to sleep and stay in my bedroom. Only a water bottle. If I have (partly) sleepless nights I still stay in. Tell yourself that feeling a bit hungry is a good sign your body is using the energy. If you don't like to drink water, make green tea (no sugar or milk added), drink a lot. If it still doesn't work eat some fruit. The sugar in fruit will stays long in the body. A banana before you go to bed should make you sleep better.
