I make a homemade nachoes that are like 4 inches high on the pizza pan.
While I am thinking nachoes for dinner tonight, in the same breathe I am thinking taco salad.
HOpe I make my mind up I will need to decide what I need to get to add to make this.
Either one is easy to make guess I will just do a toss up and have one for tonight and the other for the weekend.

Hi marie: That's so fun. I really love food from my country: beens, nachoes, enchiladas, tamales are some of my favourite ones. Enjoy Mexican food is really yummy. The only thing is that I am terrible at cooking but my mother is like a chef to me and she pampers me a lot with her good taste.

Hi marie: Thanks for the best answer
and I know you are so right. I understand that I need to learn these lessons. The only things that prevent me from doing that it's that I don't like cooking and second that I have a job so I arrive home really busy
. I have took some lessons in my free time. I know I will miss my mom's talent in the future.

Ok Alvaro I love you as a friend but I am telling you get in the kitchen with MOM.
If you don't learn her trademark secrets you will be sorry in later years!
I inhaled everything I could from my grandmother and mother and then took every home ec course I could and became quite a good cook myself. I have branched out very far from how my mother and grandmother cooked.
My family would have never made mexican type dishes. I learned a lot on my own. so make a date with mom and get her recipes!

As a gluten-free person, I'm dedicated to Mexican food when it uses corn tortillas. Obviously I cannot eat anything with flour. But nachos and taco salad are favorites of mine. I eat it frequently, and I make a tortilla sandwich with ham and a blend of cheese designed for Mexican food. I can whip it up in seconds with the microwave and wa la I have my snack or more than one for dinner. Like you I always have a problem deciding which Mexican dish I want for dinner. Tacos win out the most other than my Tortilla sandwich. I use tortillas a lot as a substitute for bread, so I tend to get creative. I'm sure whatever you decide it will be good. Have a great dinner and thanks for the discussion.

Well the taco salad gave way to the nachoes LOL
Occasionally I do eat a flour tortilla but like you I prefer the corn. specially for nachos and taco salad.

mm, that sounds good!
So do you actually make the chips from scratch? How do you make them?

I actually watched a lady making them in a mexican restaurant in Texas. So we went there a few times to eat and I came home and learned how to make them myself.

I think you are right. I love how you have described God as the chief painter. It is very true. I must admit that some art does not make sense to me but I appreciate paintings on nature and landscapes. Painters are very talented individuals and everyone should appreciate them. Do you like poems? What do you think of poets? Are they not painters who use words? Give it some thought.
