Hello Lotters, There's another batch of Overseas Filipino Workers that came home recently, but that is all thank to a co-fellow OFW Alma Bella Guiao for taking her chance with the DFA in terms of saving other Filipinos and help them evacuate. She droved far places in which the OFW's are located just to get them out. from that the DFA awarded her for the heroism that she acted upon. She won't decide to go abroad yet, but in case, definitely not syria. Were very PROUD of you

indeed, we should be proud of her. she put her life at risk to be able to help fellow filipinos who are in danger in syria. that's the filipino spirit of kindness and helpfulness. the government must help her resettle in the country by helping her start anew. i hope she is able to get back well in her community.

i am also proud of her...not thinking that what she has done might harm her during the process...but still she saves a lot of fellow filipinos...i dont think awarding her a plaque is enough...huge sum of money must be rewarded to her by the government for her heroism...

I had watched her in last night news. Gee! She's not aware of the award until she got it, very fresh from taking off the plane. She can't even find words to her surprise. I'm proud of her too! It's very risky what she did, and yet it doesn't stop her. I think, it runs in our heroic blood,... in our courageous culture to give help and initiate to those needed without really expecting in return.

yes friend it makes us all proud when we hear of our countrymen doing heroic acts. Just to comment, I think people in Government especially those in the DFA or the embassies should be the heroes next time ( my personal opinion) and not some OFW risking their life, OMG that's their job, so I hope officials won't just take things like this sitting down, or minting medals and packing financial rewards for somebody who would do their job for them. In fairness I think we also have very good Government officials in countries where we have OFW's but they are hampered or limited by resources (as usual)

That only shows the blood of Gabriela Silang still runs on her (thumbs up) I am also proud of her, she deserves all the awards and hope every Filipino would be like her.
