I created this discussion not to cause any trouble or a misunderstanding to our brothers and sisters in Muslim faith but to give chances to each of us to share what is truth and what is our opinions regarding to this topic. Some scholars and faith and religion experts says that the truth behind the islam faith is not for peace but it is all about the war against the christians and jews both the Israel, America and all over the world. They also said that based on the "Quran" good muslim shouuld not make friends with christian cause if they do they become bad Muslim do you think that it is true? Does Islamic faith is really teaching doctrines for peace? What do you think? Share your views. For more info you can watch pastor John Haggee's sermon on YouTube click here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6t2P5Ox9cuI

I think that like every religion and every group, there are radicals. I believe the islamic people who rage war against israel and america are the radicals. The hate groups. They are no different then the KKK. But I also believe that the real true islamic people are like all the other religions. Loving and caring people. Me personally, I am not a fan of any religion, but I do not pass judgement. They all have the right to believe what they want. The worst part of a radical religious group is that they all hide behind the religion and give it a bad name.

I think that this radical religious group should really adhere to what is the truth on their faith and on their religion. I hope they will not hide no more and rage for something bad that can affect the whole world. We need to see the truth and we have the right to know what is the truth.

Thats the problem with those radical groups. They will never see it the way other do and they believe they are right about everything. Thats what makes them so dangerous.

inertia4 I agree with you. These people are most probably the ones who think lowly of other people including people in their own faith. I personally have experienced this myself and should have spat in their faces.

As far as I know and what I have believe Islamic faith is for peace as what is reflected by the Arabic greetings Assalamu Alaykum!translated in English as "Peace be upon you".The problem is with any other religions there are extremist who corrupted the teachings of real Islam. It s not true that Muslims should not befriend Christians because Christians and Jews are considered believers, those who believe in God;the God of Adam,Abraham,Jesus and all the prophets.

In my view even Hindus and Toaists and all other people in all kinds of beliefs are deserving of the best behaviour from a muslim, no excuses.

As far as I understand, the Muslims believe that many of the persons in the Bible are prophets. Jesus is one prophet, that many Muslims and those who call themselves Christians, respect, and he taught us to be peaceful and not fight with each other. Jesus said we should love our enemies and pray for them. He never took part in any wars or politics. So if we want to follow the advice of Jesus, we will not kill anyone, what ever religion they believe in. In the sermont of the Mount Jesus says: "God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God." Matthew 5:9 (New Living Translation) Why not read the Sermon of the Mount that starts in Matthew chapter 5..?? You will find an online Bible on watchtower.org and biblegateway.com Happy reading!!

It's because the extremists are taking the show while the majority (which are peaceful) are sitting back. Then when these peaceful people get angry, it's apparently proof that all Muslims are bad. Truth behind it is that a pastor just burned their Holy Book, completely perfectly undamaged which is quite insulting to them. :|

Burning their books shows that those people has no respect of them regardless of their faith and race we should respect them even if their faith is not for peace or for peace itself.
