i have a topic in my mind (topic is related to babies) which actually is there in the discussion history some 2 years back. not many people participated then and the person who started the discussion is not active for past 60 days. since the concept was not so popular then, i think that if the discussion is started again, it would be a good discussion. however i am afraid if i start the discussion ,it might be deleted. do you think i should start the discussion irrespective of the fact that it might be deleted or should i respond to the original discussion (wherein it might not get a good discussion)

i think here you can't post a discussion which it was posted already anyway may be you can try adding more point of views in relation to the existing one..

It really doesn't matter how old the discussion is and it certainly doesn't matter if the discussion starter is no longer active (you don't need them to stay part of the process if you want to discuss that subject matter). There is a misconception with some people that the discussion starter "owns and controls" the discussion and that's just not true. If you post a response, the topic becomes active again and people may be more inspired to participate now. There is a reason that myLot does not delete or archive old discussions... we have the ability to contribute to them and basically "re-activate" them any time we wish. I'd say go ahead and respond to the old topic and get a sense of whether or not there are other people would like to discuss it with you

In fact, I frequently saw lots of discussions with similar topic in mylot, and they keep exist up to now.. I have no idea about their standard about duplicate topic - but hey, it is hard to create a super unique discussion as we got lots of discussions here already If I were you, I will just try to create that discussion, but I will make it different and seeing from more perspective..

thanks for participation. I thought about that aspect as well before posting this discussion. However, the topic is too restricted to allow any deviation. But, yes, I am pretty sure if left with no option, I would go ahead with this solution. Thanks
