Spurs was the better team in the game against Chelsea but it is a score-less draw. With it Spurs keeps staying 5 points clear of Chelsea for the coveted UCL spot for next season. Comparatively Spurs will have easier matches in the remaining matches for the run in while Chelsea will still have to play the likes of Newcastle, Arsenal and Liverpool. What do you think? Will Spurs throw away a 5 point lead in the remaining 8 matches?

No, i don't think so. Tottenham has been losing too many points in recent weeks and it's about time they bounced back to where they are earlier in the season. It's the when they lost to both Man city and Man united in the first 2 matches. After which, they won most of their matches, climbing up the table steadily, even opening a 10 point gap to 4th placed Arsenal. I believe Spurs is able to get back to winning ways. CHelsea is getting from bad to worse, and i can't see them over-hauling spurs for the 4th qualifying spot.

It is Tottenham's to lose now. They do have the quality to be a fight with any teams in the EPL, Manchester United and City included. It is their consistency that leaves much to desire. Tottenham has lost many points to the weaker teams. It is not certain that it won't happen again. Chelsea is an injured old lion. They are also capable of taking on any teams. They played quite poorly against Tottenham but they did very well in the earlier matches especially in the Napoli game. They are dangerous and they may even win the UCL if they hit form just at the right moment. But to overhaul a 5 point difference is really no easy task.

Yes you are correct! I am a football lover. But I am not a Spurs supporter. My team is Manchester United and in my opinion, they are much, much better than Spurs. At least the position that they are in now is well above where Spurs sits. Yes, my team will take the top position after Monday night's match against Fulham and it will be a 3 point lead by then. What about you? Are you a football fan too?

I think Spurs will have a hard time to fight Arsenal for the 3rd spot. My personal opinion is that they will have to satisfy with an UCL place for next season whether it is the 3rd or the 4th. Spurs was doing very well in the first half of the campaign but just could not sustain it in 2012.

It is quite obvious that there are only the two Manchester teams that could win the title this year. The others are only fighting for the two remaining UCL spots. And that the "others" are just Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea. With a 5 point gap to close, Chelsea just lost a good chance to slim it at home against Spurs tonight.

Any reasons why you prefer Manchester united than Manchester City? I am a Manchester United fan so naturally I am always with Manchester United in anyway I can. But for other teams, I am neutral and I always wish the better team on the day to win. I do have a soft spot for those so-called "small" teams. If they perform well and keep fighting all the way, I will support them too. I like Swansea in the current EPL season and I hope they do well.

Tottenham looks like a tired team at the moment. Gone were the buzz and energy level that they displayed in the early part of the season. From being one of the challenger for the league title, they now occupy the fourth spot. Of course, there is still chance of them overhauling Arsenal and regain the third position, but unless they rediscover their form, they have to look over their shoulder. The last thing they want is to end the season in fifth position.

It will be cruel for Spurs if indeed they could only finish the current campaign in fifth place. But it seems that it is increasingly unlikely that Chelsea could take the 4th spot that Spurs is occupying baring a spectacular melt-down of the Hot Spurs.

First of all , in soccer , there is always a chance like in manchester united old game , they were behind most of the game and only during the last minuts , they did what it takes to win the game , making everyone shocked.
I believe as long as theoretically they can do it , the chance is not zero , it can happen. You see ? in soccer , the players need to believe in their abilities , to plan a good strategy , the referee also has to be good.
Now , if teams like arsenal , newcastle and etc are going to be vs chelsea , then chelsea may lose some and if Spurs win all the left games , they may be the winners.
It is very important for the players to stay off troubles and have piecefull mind.
Some good ability and good strategy. They can act like a bunker during the game and defend their own goal . Then suddenly take a chance on running and kicking a goal.
Maybe pendels will make some difference although it is not a sportive option.

Ow ,... are you against Spur ? I thought you were against chelsea , lol , but still , everything I said is relevant for every team. The luck can effect both teams and who knows what may happen in the soccer.
Every kick that is not accurate can make a difference , every player that make a mistake and is being kicked away from the game , can make the game much easier for the other team. Soccer is not just about stamina , speed , accuracy and control with the legs , it is also about rules and luck and referee.
