Does anybody still listen to hard Rock and Metal?

I, as a metal fan, find it very disappointed when I walk in to school talk about ,y guitar and the music I listen to when people think I am talking in a different language. there are only some people I can talk to about Metal or Hard Rock. If any one wants to add, feel free. I don't care if its negative or positive but just a response

Welcome to MyLot! It appears this is your first post, so I thought I would throw that in there. I am a rock/metal fan. Well, not all that much with metal. The extent of my 'metal' preferences include old school stuff like Metallica & Megadeth. I am also REALLY HUGELY into a band called Avenged Sevenfold, have you heard of them?! Oh man. If you haven't, you should check them out. I listen to all their albums (But especially "City of Evil") ALL THE TIME!
I also find it hard to find people who like the same kind of music as me. I like most all kinds of rock, really dislike pop/top 40, country, etc. I'm mainly a rocker.

yes sometimes i listen to hard rock or metal as music so i think as regards this genre it really depends from different racks but some of them are eally ok to listen also those ones referring to the past metal or hard rock groups where probably they are better than the pretty new ones!!

Welcome to Mylot! I like rock and some heavy metal. I actually listen to all genres of music but I tend to listen more to rock. I'm sure you will find plenty of people on this site that will understand what you are talking about and will be able to carry on a decent discussion with you about music.

I do. I like older stuff mostly.....Iron Maiden, Metallica, KISS, etc. I occasionally hear some newer stuff that is pretty good. Evanescence, although they've been around for a few years now is one of my favorite "new" bands. Hard rock and metal is my favorite kind of music but I can appreciate all kinds except for rap. I know everyone has their own tastes but it is beyond me how anyone can find rap appealing.
