Today is the last day of the season for me to play "domestic goddess".

Today I make the last cheese cake of the season. It's also the last day of spring cleaning, if you want to call it that! By the end of the day the house will be spotless and the refrigerator will have a cheese cake in it. All my filing will be done in my office and it's furniture will be moved around for the summer. This is not who I usually am as we do a lot of traveling throughout the warm months, usually northward for the cooler temperatures. We normally schedule our goals around the weather, but this year who figured we'd have May weather in March! Getting the yard work in order for the summer months and everything needs to be as self supportive as possible as we are our lawn service and cleaning staff.
My only regret is not being able to come to mylot as often as I do during the cold months! Do you have any plans for the summer?

That sounds fun - travelling in the summer. Summers and winters are very different seasons for me too. I don't travel all that much, but every weekend I usually go on some little road trip, whether it be 1/2 an hour away or 4 hours away. I like being outdoors during the summer, whether it be going on a road trip, hiking, tanning outside, going to the beach, having a barbeque, etc - I don't like spending time indoors in the summer. I can't wait for it to be sunny and beautiful out. Have a great spring/summer season and we will see you when you come back!

Wow maezee, you sound like me! I love the outdoors. I can't think of one hobby I have that requires me to stay indoors. Wild life photography, craft sales, camping, fishing, hunting, horses, you name it. I do not sit quietly anywhere but on the back of a good horse! We normally have summers that are the next best thing to paradise. I'll even cook outside!

You seem too busy lately. I do have plans. Me and my friends plan to go to a resort this may. Although, the resort is too far that it would require us to ride a plane to get there. Although even if I'm there, I don't think I'll miss posting here, I'll still have my phone.
But I can't say I'll be posting much since I'll be busy having fun.

Gah! I still haven't even started my spring cleaning. I am kind of in survival mode as every day feels busy with work, my son's activities, and regular day to day chores.
This summer we're going to go camping. Other than that I haven't scheduled anything.

I'm right in there with you! I can pile drive through a ton of stuff in two days but, when it's over, it's over. I lay down before I fall out! But 7 months out of the year we go to the summer place a lot. Here's to fire pits, good friends and nothing but time on our hands!

Wow you have been a busy bee! I am still working on our spring cleaning. I did manage to clean out my 2 year old's closet and the twins closet. I also cleaned out the twins dressers and updated their clothes (they are growing so fast). I cleaned out my closet as well as all of my dresser drawers. I need to work on the guest bedroom closet because there are several items I have hanging in there that I need to sell at a yard sale or give to Good Will. It is hard to get it all done these days. That cheesecake sounds awesome by the way!

I want to squeeze in as much as possible in two days because I hate cleaning! I make my target for giving to charity (always the disabled vets) to be at least $250. If I associate it as a deduction at tax time (dollar signs) I think about stuff in the house differently. Rather than hang on to it and not used for 5 years it's time to give it away. Therefore I have less clutter to move around in pursuit of something I actually use! Yes the cheese cake is cooling off as I write. It takes approximately 8 hours from beginning to end and my husband appreciates it. It's got a great shelf life in the refrigerator. Most of the cheese cakes I've made get covered and sealed and put out in the garage but this year I'd be worried about the temperature getting to high out there. Like I say-who knew we'd be having May in March?
