My son loves Disney channel!

My son Joaquinne Loves to watch disney channel. Since he was 3 months and was able to sit in a baby rocker, it was then the time that i was able to introduce television to him. It was for the reason that i cannot do something else that's why i tried to find a way to keep him busy so i turned the tv to disney channel and it worked! until now that he's 10 months old, he still loves to watch disney cartons like Timmy Time, Handy manny, Octonauts, Chiro, The hive, Special agent Oso, Jungle junction and higgly town heroes. he dances when he hear the opening and closing music of the cartoons =) Does your kid watches disney channel too?

awww reading this discussion make me miss my nephew Joaquin. he is only 3 years old, and he like Disney channel too but he likes cartoon network better because of his favorite shows like Ben 10.

really.. My son name is Joaquinne =). As of now my baby doesn't react in shows in cartoon network. Only with their theme songs.

My son loves the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We are not subscribed to any cable provider but what my wife did is saved some videos downloaded from the net and watched it in a dvd player. My son (21 months old) started to watched that video since he was 10 months old. He even sings with the "Hotdog" song.
We haven't introduced him too early for TV since according to some studies, exposing babies to TV might alter their ability/deelopment to speak/talk. I don't know if it is true.

Hi asdomencil! In my own experience as i have exposed my baby too early in watching tv, I think the development of the baby depends most on his genes. My baby is very talkative as of now. He even shouts and scream and tries to tell us something he wants. And as of his mental development, he is a fast learner. everyday i try to teach him something new and he gets it quite fast. well maybe the exposing to TV thing is somewhat effective to other babies. anyway it's safety first so it's not that bad to practice doing it.

Perhaps, that's true. It runs thru genes. Also, it might depends on how child's develops their brains. They usually immitate those in their environment. If the person that regularly with your baby is talkative, they might also acquire those attitudes.
It is so cute and feels proud, especially to parents, when you see your child develops earlier than what is expected.

I also love the Disney Channel. I got tons of gifts from them. The firs thing that they sent me was a disney channel clipboard. I also think that they make great movies. I don't watch disney channel that much anymore though not because I am 20 but because I don't think that their shows are as good as before. I love 'That's So Raven' and "Lizzie Mcguire'. The shows for tweens and teens right now are not that great.

wow great that they sent you gifts. my son is the one who's watching disney jr. as of now. I watched Lizzie Mcguire and that's so raven too as well as the suite life of zack and cody. but not much because i'm busy working =).

It's amazing how those cartoon channels, could make the children glued to TV. 
Even our daughter when she was still a child, is really a fanatic of those cartoon channels. And as she grew she learned a lot in those shows. We will be surprised when suddenly she would speak English in a very slang tone. She would just keep on opening her mouth, when being fed, while watching those channels.
Just let your child enjoy those channels. It's part of their growing up, my friend.

hi simplyd! yes its true those cartoons really gets the kid hooked up everyday. maybe because the characters are very lively and colorful that it attracts the baby and kids eyes. as well as the musical sounds they have.

hey hi i am now 23 years old. i have been a big fan of disney cartoons. still love to watch. since childhood i don't watch any other cartoon except disney. they are awesome.

yes indeed. it's very cute that my baby is dancing while the opening and closing music is playing. and also he seems like very interested on the actions of the characters LOL!

Disney channel its awesome for big and small and now u get disny channel jr for the kids I don't have kids but al my friends love to let there cilds watch it cartoon network is a bit roug sumthimes
